After watching his England teammate, Zak Crawley smash 45 off 23 balls.

Harry Brook walked to the crease, and played an outrageous scoop over his head to grab a six off his first ball.

A shame the English batter has not faced more balls...

    Chris Wood on a hat-trick.

There were two sounds but it looks like it was David Miller's pads rubbing together. No bat involved.

Now then. David Miller might be out firsy ball here after being struck on the pad by Chris Wood and given out on field.

    Miller sends it upstairs.

Brook's shot is just the 11th time that a batter has scooped their first ball of the innings for six, in the history of T20/100-ball cricket. The other player to have achieved the same feat in The Hundred is Steve Eskinazi for Welsh Fire off Craig Overton in 2023.

It's almost like the most vertical scoop I've ever seen.

He enjoyed that one himself Harry Brook and so did the crowd.

How's this for a way to get off the mark!

Harry Brook scoops his first ball from Tim Southee over his head for six and falls over in the process.

    Incredible stuff.

I almost feel like I heard a cheer from the crowd there because we all know who's about to walk in and the last balls here are going to be destructive with Harry Brook charging into the crease.

There's going to be some fireworks here.

Two brilliant shots there from Michael Pepper. The first one brutal force and the second one cheeky, but both very well executed.
