    Will England win? Yes. Will we beat South Africa? No, so it’s about respectability today but I don’t think it changed much in the bigger picture sadly. It’s not a great team, it needs a bit of an overhaul.

    Afghanistan need too keep moving their bowling attack around and trying different things. This game feels as if there will be a few more pinch points along the way.

    Right now, both teams will feel as if they're in touching distance of the win.

    Joe Root's tempo against the spinners has been excellent today. He has scored 68 runs off 64 balls against them, playing 67% of his shots off the back foot. In all his ODI innings where he has faced at least 30 balls of spin, this is the most he has played on the back foot.

    There was an appeal for caught behind against Joe Root. It was lead by wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz but it looked like it clearly came off Root's trouser pocket.
