  1. NZ 75-2published at 12 overs

More left-arm spin now but of a very different kind as Axar Patel replaces Varun Chakravarthy.

Tidy start and Daryl Mitchell and Kane Williamson exchange singles as just two come from the over.

  2. NZ 73-2published at 11 overs

Good first over from Kuldeep Yadav, just four from it plus the key wicket of Rachin Ravindra.

It's still early in this match and New Zealand have made a quick start so it's slightly surprising to see WinViz has India at a 75% chance of victory from here...

That is massive. Rachin Ravindra who was batting so well has to go. This will change the game for New Zealand.

That was such a good ball, he couldn't have delivered it on a better line.

'He's bowled him!' - Kuldeep dismisses Ravindra for 37 with his first ball

Bowled 'im! Kuldeep Yadav strikes first ball.

Rachin Ravindra had started superbly but was riding his luck as the powerplay went on. Powerplay over and his luck runs out.

He doesn't pick the wrong 'un from Kuldeep as he plays back, the ball turns to flick his pad and crash into the stumps.

    Big wicket for India.

Surely everyone's favourite second team is New Zealand. It would be fantastic for them to raise the trophy today.

  7. NZ 69-1published at 10 overs

Last over of the powerplay but New Zealand aren't trying to force anything.

They're going along very nicely as it is and Kane Williamson whips Varun Chakravarthy through the leg side for two to end the over, five from it.

It's grassless and very dry. It will probably play better in the first innings compared to the second. We know that New Zealand will need a cushion of runs just in case.

This surface is an interesting looking one.

  10. NZ 64-1published at 9 overs

Kane Williamson tries to replicate the shot to end the over but this ball shapes away from Mohammed Shami to beat the edge.

It's been a very interesting start to this innings. The pitch looks a good one to bat on but there has been just enough to keep the bowlers interested.

That's probably the best shot of the innings so far. It was a tap off the backfoot, to get that placement is really special.

  12. NZ 64-1published at 8.3 overs

    Top shot.

No real width from Mohammed Shami and only a fraction short but that is enough for Kane Williamson, who punches the ball crisply through extra cover for four.

Yet again, the game now lies on Rachin Ravindra.

Varun Chakravarthy has made the much needed breakthrough for India.

  15. NZ 58-1published at 8 overs

Kane Williamson is the new batter for New Zealand and is off the mark with a single first ball.

A very eventful over from Varun Chakravarthy.

It's all Indian support here. It's like a second home for them.

The value of that partnership was crucial. This time India were right on the money. It was a patient innings from Will Young.

This time Varun Chakravarthy has his wicket.

Big drift in for the spinner as he bowls a leggie to Will Young and the New Zealand opener is pinned in front.

Up goes the umpire's finger and the only question is whether it was drifting down leg. After a quick chat with Rachin Ravindra, Young decides not.

    India have the breakthrough.

  20. Ravindra dropped on 29published at 7.1 overs

'He was a little off balance' - Iyer drops Ravindra after attempt at diving catch

Another let off for Rachin Ravindra!

The left-hander goes for the slog-sweep but top-edges it and the ball goes a long way up towards deep mid-wicket.

Shreyas Iyer is the fielder out there, he has to run around the boundary but misjudges it slightly and can't hold on.

How much will India rue these dropped catches?
