  1. 'Durham odds-on favourites'published at 16:57 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 342-9

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

I would say right now, Durham are odds-on favourites to win this.

Joe Clarke has played brilliantly but it's not enough.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time

    van Buuren c Finch b Gilchrist 0 (Glos 121-6 - target 162)

Hang on... more than just a glimmer of hope for Kent?

Graeme van Buuren goes for a goldie as he nicks off from Nathan Gilchrist through to wicketkeeper Harry Finch.

That's a pair for van Buuren in this match. One he'll really want to forget.

    Hat-trick ball incoming...

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time

    Bracey c Ogborne (sub) b Gilchrist 19 (Glos 121-5 - target 162)

A very, very faint glimmer of hope for Kent maybe?

It's short from Nathan Gilchrist and James Bracey pulls it hard through the air but it's caught by sub Alfie Ogborne in the deep.

  4. Postpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time

    Glos 121-4 - target 162

James Bracey gets on top of one from Nathan Gilchrist and drives on the up through the covers.

It races away for four as he admires the shot.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time

    Hutton b Raine 0 (Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 338-9 - lead by 81)

    Nine down!

Brett Hutton pushes forward in defence but picks the wrong line as Ben Raine sends down a beauty.

It pitches on middle and nips away to take the top of off-stump.

Mohammad Abbas joins Joe Clarke. Durham could be chasing very soon.

  6. Postpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time

    Derbys 181-5 - target 329

Luke Wells replaces Anderson Phillip at the Sir James Anderson End and comes in for his second over.

A single apiece for Martin Andersson and Anuj Dal and another over is ticked off.

  7. Postpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time

    Glos 116-4 - target 162

Cameron Green hit 128 in the first innings for Gloucestershire and James Bracey made 127.

Not a bad pair to have in the middle during a run chase.

A change of bowling for Kent now as Grant Stewart comes back into the attack in place of Kashif Ali.

  8. Postpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time

    Derbys 180-5 - target 329

Martin Andersson (28) and Anuj Dal (7) continue to resist the spin-pace combo of Tom Hartley and Anderson Phillip.

Hartley, in particular, has caused plenty of problems this evening. Dal takes a single from the first ball of the spinner's 18th over.

Andersson, with plenty of company around the bat, uses bat and pad to see out the remaining five balls.

Derbyshire have 26 overs to survive for a draw.

  9. 'Notts' toughest opponent so far'published at 16:46 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 336-8

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

He was beaten by a good one from Ben Raine.

Notts unbeaten but this has been their toughest assignment so far - you'd imagine they are two wickets away from losing this as Durham have some quality batters.

  10. Postpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time

    Glos 116-4 - target 162

Cameron Green is in good nick now. It's slightly full from Nathan Gilchrist and it gets the full punishment as Green punches down the ground for four.

Gloucestershire trying to get over the line in style.

  11. Postpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time

A tighter over this time for Kent's Kashif Ali with just the one leg bye off it.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time

    Patterson-White b Raine 3 Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 336-8 - lead by 79

    This game!!!

Notts are eight down as a Ben Raine delivery keeps low and takes Liam Patterson-White's off and middle stump out of the ground. It barely got off the ground.

Nothing he could do about that.

Brett Hutton stuck around in the first innings and Notts really need him to do the same.

  13. Postpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 335-7 - lead by 78

Brydon Carse loses his radar and a ball flies down leg past the despairing dive of Ollie Robinson for four byes to grow the lead.

Joe Clarke tucks away into the legside off his hips for one more to extend the lead to 76 and leave Liam Patterson-White two balls to face.

He sways away from a ball which whizzes past his nose and then punches a full, straight ball down the ground for two. We have 27 overs left.

  14. Dal races to sixpublished at 16:37 British Summer Time

    Derbys 178-5 - target 329

Anuj Dal breaks the chain of Tom Hartley maidens with a single. He moves to a glacial two off 39 balls.

Dal then pulls square and picks up his first boundary off Anderson Phillip.

This pair have now played out almost 16 overs.

Lancashire have 29 overs to force a first win of the season.

  15. 50 runs

50 partnershippublished at 16:36 British Summer Time

    Glos 109-4 - target 162

And with 10 runs off that over from Kashif Ali, that also brings about the 50 partnership for Cameron Green and James Bracey.

The stand is worth 52 and Green is just 10 shy of a half-century now.

  16. 'A magnificent game to watch'published at 16:35 British Summer Time

    Glos 109-4 - target 162

    Aaron Bryans
    Test Match Special commentator

Cameron Green is a terrific player to watch at the crease.

Gloucestershire will be a lot happier with these two in the middle.

A sensational shot to bring up the 100 - it's been a magnificent game to watch.

  17. 6 runs

100 up for Gloucestershirepublished at 16:35 British Summer Time

    Glos 109-4 - target 162

Australian international Cameron Green absolutely hammers a huge pull shot over mid-wicket for six off Kashif Ali and Gloucestershire fly past 100.

They then pick up another four leg byes down the leg side as it flicks off Green and runs to the boundary.

It's looking increasingly likely now that they will get that first win of the season and first on home soil since September 2022.

They need just another 53 to get there with six wickets still in hand.

  18. Postpublished at 16:33 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 328-7 - lead by 71

A single off Brydon Carse gets Liam Patterson-White off the mark from his 20th ball.

Not that runs are so important for Notts. Soak up time.

Durham are happy to give Joe Clarke a boundary to the final ball of the over so they get LPW on strike.

Clarke takes the invitation. The lead inches to 71.

  19. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time

    Derbys 173-5 - target 329

Tom Hartley whirls away, but Anuj Dal keeps out six more as the spinner claims a sixth maiden.

A change of bowling as Anderson Phillip replaces James Anderson and bowls at Martin Andersson. A recipe for a(nother) typing error.

A lovely straight drive from the batter hits the wickets at the non-striker's end. Deserved some runs.

  20. new ball

New ballpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 319-7 - lead by 62

Brydon Carse takes the new ball as the Notts batters have a new challenge to face.

Joe Clarke takes a single to the second delivery to give the strike to new man Liam Patterson-White who is yet to score after 10 balls.

Carse gets big movement and brushes the jumper of Patterson-White which flies between Ollie Robinson and first slip to the rope for four byes.

The paceman then beats Patterson-White's outside edge to bring more shouts of anguish. The all-rounder survives.

Ben Raine rejoins the attack with the new cherry.
