  1. Tea at Old Traffordpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time

    Derbys 165-5 - target 329

George Balderson in for the last over before tea and Martin Andersson helps himself to a four off the second ball to move to 22.

Lancashire's session as they move within five wickets of a first win of the season, thanks to the removal in quick succession of Harry Came (63) and Brooke Guest (2) shortly before tea.

The Derbyshire win looks now to be firmly off the table - they are 164 runs away from their target.

Time for James Anderson to wrap this up?

  2. Tea at Bristolpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time

    Glos 65-4 - target 162

Tea might be coming at a good time for Gloucestershire. This run chase has not gone fully to plan for the hosts so far.

Kent have bowled very well, knocking over four wickets in the opening 19 overs to make a real game of this.

The hosts are chasing a first win of the season and first victory on home soil since September 2022 - if they're to get it, they will have done it the hard way.

A very big final session of cricket coming up in about 20 minutes on day four at Bristol.

  3. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time

    Glos 65-4 - target 162

Less than 100 runs to win now for Gloucestershire as Cameron Green picks up a single through the off side from Grant Stewart.

They've almost made it to tea.

  4. 'A really unnecessary shot'published at 15:31 British Summer Time

    Glos 57-4 - target 162

    Aaron Bryans
    Test Match Special commentator

It was a loose shot there from Hammond, he'll be disappointed.

A really unnecessary shot - he's absolutely furious with himself.

Even though Gloucestershire possess lots of batting depth, you don't want to go deep into the order.

WICKETpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time

    Hammond c Muyeye b Stewart 18 (Glos 57-4 - target 162)

Kent put one down in the last over but they make no mistake with this one!

Miles Hammond tries to drive through the off side from Grant Stewart but he edges it to Tawanda Muyeye at first slip who holds on.

These are nervy times indeed for Gloucestershire and they're making hard work of this run chase as they seek a first win of the season.

  6. 'How costly will that drop be?'published at 15:29 British Summer Time

    Glos 57-3 - target 162

    Aaron Bryans
    Test Match Special commentator

Kashif Ali has bowled nicely here.

We spoke about Grant Stewart dropped early in his innings, how costly will that drop be?

  7. dropped catch

Green dropped on 3published at 15:26 British Summer Time

    Glos 57-3 - target 162

Cameron Green flashes wildly at one outside his off stump in Kashif Ali's first over and it flies to Jack Leaning's right at second slip but he can't hold on.

Typically, Green smashes the next ball for four through the covers.

A big chance missed for Kent to eat further into the Gloucestershire top order.

  8. 'Hartley was looking for that delivery'published at 15:26 British Summer Time

    Derbys 155-5 - target 329

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

He just stretched forward and it caught the bat.

He scooped it, I'm not sure why Harry Came didn't think it was, it was a little inside edge.

Hartley has been looking for that delivery.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time

    Came c Bell b Hartley 63 (Derbys 151-5 - target 329)

    That's the one they wanted!

Harry Came made 63 from 94 balls and looked like being the mainstay of the Derbyshire innings but he's prodded at Tom Hartley's delivery and been caught at short leg by George Bell.

It's a simple catch for Bell as the ball just pops up nicely for him off the bat.

A couple of big wickets taken by Hartley in quick succession and that puts a different perspective on things with Derbyshire still needing 178 runs.

  10. Postpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 289-5 - lead by 32 runs

Joe Clarke uses the pace of the ball from Codi Yusuf to guide a lovely shot down to the third man boundary for four.

He then flicks one off his legs for another single and moves onto 83.

  11. 50 runs

50 up for Gloucestershirepublished at 15:21 British Summer Time

    Glos 53-3 - target 162

Miles Hammond flicks one away for four through the leg side from Grant Stewart and that takes Gloucestershire past 50.

Almost a third of the way there to the target.

  12. Postpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time

    Glos 47-3 - target 162

Miles Hammond picks up a boundary for Gloucestershire from Nathan Gilchrist.

He then takes a single to move onto 13 and keep the scoreboard moving as the hosts edge towards the 50 mark.

  13. 50 runs

50 partnershippublished at 15:14 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 279-5 - lead by 22 runs

Joe Clarke and Kyle Verreynne are doing well to keep rotating the strike for Nottinghamshire.

Their partnership is now worth 55 runs and they'll hope to keep this going for as long as they can.

  14. 'This is very entertaining cricket'published at 15:13 British Summer Time

    Derbys 144-4 - target 329

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Lancashire have left three fielders on the leg side this innings, bowling over the wicket which takes out any scoring options.

It's all very tentative for Came at the moment.

    This is very entertaining cricket.

  15. Postpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time

    Glos 41-3 - target 162

Cameron Green gets off the mark after nine balls with a single into the off side from Nathan Gilchrist.

Kent opening bowler Gilchrist is 2-8 from his first six overs. Just the start he would have wanted.

Green then takes another quick single off the first ball of Jake Ball's over to take Gloucestershire within 121 runs of victory.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time

    Guest b Hartley 2 (Derbys 137-4 - target 329)

    Fourth wicket down for Lancashire!

Brooke Guest gets down low to sweep but completely misses the ball and it goes round behind him to clatter into the stumps off the spin of Tom Hartley.

Guest and Derbyshire will feel that's an unnecessary dismissal with the game as it but Lancs will be delighted to see another wicket fall.

Derbyshire's Martin Andersson enters the fray with about half an hour until tea.

  17. Postpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time

    Glos 39-3 - target 162

Big appeal from the Kent fielders as Jake Ball catches Cameron Green on the pads... it looks close but the umpire says no.

    Nervy moments again for Gloucestershire.

  18. 'This is a proper contest now'published at 15:03 British Summer Time

    Glos 37-3 - target 162

    Aaron Bryans
    Test Match Special commentator

We have got a game of cricket here.

A wicket maiden from Gilchrist, it's some sharp reflexes from the Kent seamer.

This is a proper contest now, although Gloucestershire have still got some batters to come in like Cameron Green and James Bracey.

    This is excellent county cricket.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time

    Price c & b Gilchrist 10 (Glos 37-3 - target 162)

This game takes yet another twist...

Ollie Price tries to drive down the ground but hits it straight back at Nathan Gilchrist, who still has to react well to take a sharp catch and he does just that.

Kent are making more than just a game of this. Might they fancy their chances of an unlikely victory?

Nip and tuck at Bristol. What happens next is anyone's guess.

  20. 'Their next target is tea'published at 14:59 British Summer Time

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 269-5

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Notts from their point of view have got to keep on batting.

Their next target will be to get to tea, which is fixed on the final day.
