Sobhana Mostary looks like she has more of a plan that Shathi Rani does.

Mostary looks like she is trying to get across her stumps, I think that's the right plan.

Rani is trying to swing at everything there's no placement - it is hopeless swinging.

  4. Ban 8-1published at 4 overs

Movement off the pitch and through the air for Ayabonga Khaka and Bangladesh pair Shathi Rani and Sobhana Mostary are struggling to get to grips with it at the moment.

There's a couple of lbw appeals after Mostary stepped across her stumps but nothing doing from the umpire.

A disciplined start from South Africa.

Here's how Marizanne Kapp nicked off Bangladesh opener Dilara Akter for a duck a few moments ago.

  6. Shathi survivespublished at 2.3 overs

No bat involved so South Africa burn a review.

It must be tough for Laura Wolvaardt to say no to Marizanne Kapp.

Surprising South Africa have reviewed. Again there was no appeal from Sinalo Jafta behind the stumps.

Bangladesh are struggling to navigate how hard to go. They need to be a bit more proactive and then they'll not have to take as many risks.

  8. South Africa reviewpublished at 2.3 overs

Marizanne Kapp is bounding in with real purpose. I mean, does she know any other way?

However, Shathi Rani has a bit of confidence and slog sweeps the South Africa all-rounder over mid-wicket for a couple.

A few balls later and Kapp thinks Shathi has nicked a booming drive and talks Laura Wolvaardt into a review.

Sobhana Mostary’s batting average of 32 at this Women's T20 World Cup is the best of any player for Bangladesh in the tournament's history.

  10. Ban 4-1published at 2 overs

Ayabonga Khaka eases into her rhythm a little more than the fiery Marizanne Kapp which allows Bangladesh to settle a bit more.

Shathi Rani and Sobhana Mostary both off the mark.

  11. 'Kapp is unbelievable'published at 15:12 British Summer Time 12 October

    Kirstie Gordon
England bowler on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Marizanne Kapp is unbelievable, more so because of her longevity.

She has been opening the bowling for so long. To be successful in T20 is not easy, but she's kept evolving.

  12. Ban 1-1published at 1 over

Marizanne Kapp has a face like thunder.

She thinks there's an edge from Shathi Rani to a ball on a length but Sinalo Jafta gets her footwork slightly off and ends up spilling a diving catch.

That looked fairly routine for the South Africa wicketkeeper, but TV replays show the ball, in fact, clipped Shathi's hip rather than the bat as she attempted to work it to leg.

  13. 'Akter has to go for nought!'published at 15:06 British Summer Time 12 October

A little bit of strange one as there wasn't a huge appeal from the wicketkeeper, but Marizanne Kapp was off celebrating!

Dilara Akter has to go for nought!

    Perfect start for South Africa!

Dilara Akter was saved from an lbw shout by an inside edge first ball, but is undone by testing delivery by Marizanne Kapp.

The Bangladesh opener was draw into playing a defensive prod to a ball on a fifth stump line from the South Africa all-rounder, and the thinnest of edges is snaffled by Sinalo Jafta.

Right, Dilara Akter has just taken guard at the striker's end.

Marizanne Kapp has the ball in hand for South Africa.

    Play!

Bangladesh are going to need to play better than they did against the West Indies - they only scored 103 and it was nowhere near enough.

They'll learn from that and try put a better score on the board. They restricted England to 118 and if they can get something around the 120 mark they can cause South Africa a few problems.

  19. Permutations, permutationspublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 12 October

This is the final game in Group B for both of these sides so it's time to talk about permutations and our old friend net run rate (NRR).

With two points and a NRR of minus 0.835 Bangladesh are all but out of the tournament barring a freak result here, and England imploding in their two remaining matches.

On the basis England are likely to beat Scotland on Sunday then it would all boil down to what happens in England v West Indies on Tuesday.

If South Africa win today and England win both their remaining matches, the Proteas will go through on six points as runners-up, two clear of West Indies.

However, if West Indies (NRR 1.708) beat England (NRR 0.653) then those two sides would join South Africa (NRR 1.527) on six points with places determined by NRR. Current NRR for each side in brackets.

So South Africa's aim today is to beat Bangladesh and try to boost their NRR in the process by winning big.

  20. 'Can control it better'published at 14:50 British Summer Time 12 October

South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt: "We are happy to have a bowl. We were a little bit in two minds for this game. Obviously a lot of talk about net run rate and everything. I think you can control that a bit better when you are chasing so happy to have a bowl.

"How will we manage the net run rate? It's a tough one there's so much cricket to still be played in the group. England have only played two so it's hard to know exactly but we just need to win as big as we can. I feel confident we can do that today.

"World Cups just bring the best out in every cricketer and I am happy to be able to contribute. Hopefully we all can to get that win tonight."
