Phil Salt has reemerged from the dressing room with his wicketkeeping gloves. Jacob Bethell has come on as a sub.

    It's all going on.

    Oh, England have problems here.

Jos Buttler said at the toss Jamie Smith would keep wicket because he is managing a tight calf.

After that wicket he's wandered off the field.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3.4 overs

    Abhishek c Archer b Carse 24 (Ind 31-2)

    Brilliant catch!

This time Abhishek Sharma fails to find the middle of the bat and only manages to sky the ball into the Rajkot night. It looks like it'll fall safe but Jofra Archer makes good ground and takes the catch on the run.

    Big breakthrough.

  5. Ind 31-1published at 3.3 overs

Abhishek Sharma has timed another for four.

England fielders have their hands on heads.

  6. Ind 27-1published at 3.1 overs

Brydon Carse is brought on early but has his first delivery edge for four by the dangerous Abhishek Sharma.

He's going to keep on swinging.

Sanju Samson v Jofra Archer in T20s: 3 innings, 3 dismissals, 8 runs, 15 balls.

All three dismissals in similar regions - caught long on once and caught deep square leg twice.

  8. Ind 23-1published at 3 overs

    Target 172

Abhishek Sharma counters Jofra Archer's punches with a blow of his own over extra cover for four.

That is a lovely shot from the left-hander.

  9. Ind 17-1published at 2.3 overs

India's skipper Suryakumar Yadav has come out at number three, rather than in-form Tilak Varma.

Suryakumar batted in this position in the first match but Varma did so in the second.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.2 overs

    Samson c Rashid b Archer 3 (Ind 16-1)

    Ahem.

Jofra Archer hurries Sanju Samson with a shorter ball and his Rajasthan Royals team-mate can only clunk a pull shot to mid-on.

    England have their early wicket.

  11. Ind 15-0published at 2 overs

    Target 172

Despite another wide, Mark Wood finishes the over better than he started it.

India are behind the required run-rate. Just saying.

Today is the fifth time England have conceded a five-wicket haul to a spinner in T20Is - the most by any team in the history of the format.

In comparison, Australia have conceded it once in 2011, while India haven't at all.

  13. Ind 13-0published at 1.3 overs

Now left-hander Abhishek Sharma swats a 90mph short ball from Wood for four.

I should have kept my mouth shut, shouldn't I?

  14. Ind 9-0published at 1.2 overs

Mark Wood shares the new ball but begins with a wide and then has his second legal delivery lofted over the off side for four.

That's too wide to Abhishek Sharma.

I don't think England are as far off par as everyone thinks.

  16. Ind 3-0published at 1 over

    Target 172

I'm going to put this out there and feel free to tell me how stupid I am later.

I think England will win this game.

  17. Ind 1-0published at 0.3 overs

Jofra Archer puffs his cheeks as Abhishek Sharma swings (slashes) and misses at one outside off stump.

  18. Ind 1-0published at 0.1 overs

    Target 172

Jofra Archer has the ball in his hand. England need wickets.

    Off we go...

Almost time for the teams to get back out there.

I don't fancy England's chances, but maybe Matt Henry thinks differently?

He's here to take you through the second innings.

Yet again England's ability to play spin well and effectively has been shown up. The balance between attack and rotating, they are not getting their combinations right.

Ben Duckett played brilliantly but England had just lost a wicket and the next over he charges Axar Patel and gets caught.

I think England's players are decent players of spin. They are not showing it.
