Northern Superchargers all-rounder Annabel Sutherland speaking on Sky Sports: "To take a win first up is really nice and to have a positive net run-rate is something we'll take as well.

"We had contributions across the board which was nice to see. We all know our roles with bat and ball and we executed well."

On Lisa Keightley as coach: "She is great and brings the fun and energy. She is quirky and an airhead at times but she keeps us on our toes.

"We had a great thing going on last year and we are a really good group. We have gelled well. We know each other really well and trust each other on the field."

On her personal goals: "It is all about the team. We want to get to the final. Looking after the team means your personal things come."

On the work with the ball: "We wanted to keep the stumps in play and the change of pace we brought in worked well."

On the first win: "Starting off with a win is really good. You wouldn't know this is our first game with how we played."

Georgia Wareham, who scored an unbeaten 29 (17), picked up 2-14 with the ball, orchestrated the run out of Sophia Dunkley, and took the match-winning catch, is unsurprisingly named player of the match.

It is never in doubt when an Australian is underneath the ball. The Superchargers are one of the strongest sides and they have their campaign off to a fantastic start.

Welsh Fire were beaten by the better team.

    Levick c Wareham b Ballinger 11 (Welsh Fire 94-10)

What a catch! Georgia Wareham racing in and diving forward at mid-wicket to dismiss Katie Levick.

Grace Ballinger finishes with two wickets.

  11. Fire 94-9published at 3 balls

    Need 48 runs to win

Kate Cross is knocked over as Katie Levick smashes the ball back to the bowler and into her shins.

  12. Fire 94-9published at 5 balls

    Need 48 runs to win

These two are doing everything they can to prevent Welsh Fire from being bowled out. They've put on 18 from 21 balls.

Grace Ballinger will bowl the final set.

  13. Fire 92-9published at 8 balls

    Need 50 runs to win

Shabnim Ismail and Katie Levick have resorted to sneaky singles. They've already built Welsh Fire's second-highest partnership.

Georgia Wareham has been so economical; you want to get the tailenders to be playing across the ball.

Superchargers have bowled so well as a unit. They have created opportunities and have applied so much pressure.

  15. Fire 90-9published at 10 balls

    Need 52 runs to win

142 is out of the question for Welsh Fire. However, their lowest total (95-9) is within reach.

    10 balls to go.

  16. Fire 89-9published at 11 balls

    Need 53 runs to win

Should Katie Levick be batting up the order? She adds four to her side's total after picking a gap in the field, although Hollie Armitage maybe should have done better with her attempted flick back on the rope.

  17. Fire 83-9published at 15 balls

    Need 59 runs to win

Five runs off Linsey Smith's final set.

Phoebe Litchfield covered a lot of ground and tried to flick it back in. She ended up flicking it over her own body!

    10/10 for effort however.

  19. Fire 82-9published at 16 balls

    Need 60 runs to win

A boundary for Shabnim Ismail! Something for Welsh Fire to cheer!

She just clears the in-field and a sliding Phoebe Litchfield carries the ball over the rope.
