  1. Pak 48-5published at 9 overs

    Target 111

Lovely shot from Fatima Sana, who charges Rosemary Mair and clatters the ball square through point and to the rope.

These are two of Pakistan's most experienced players, so you'd think their hopes of victory rest on this partnership.

Pakistan might keep going for it, because in the worst-case scenario, they lose and their archrivals India will go out of the tournament.

We feel a bit on the edge watching this. I wonder how India are watching this.

  4. Pak 41-5published at 8 overs

Or maybe Pakistan are still going for it? I don't know anymore...

Nida Dar goes for a pull that disappears fine and cannot be pulled back from the rope in time by Lea Tahuhu.

  5. Postpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time

Came for the wicket, stayed for the celebration.

    Don't make Lea Tahuhu angry.

Suddenly it's a different game, but luckily for New Zealand, they've already got five of Pakistan's wickets.

  7. Pak 34-5published at 7 overs

It looks like Pakistan have put the brakes on. They are unlikely to win quickly enough now to improve their net run-rate sufficiently anyway.

Pakistan have slipped behind where New Zealand were at this stage, plus, and perhaps crucially, have lost five more wickets.

  9. Pak 28-5published at 6 overs

And so ends one of the most chaotic powerplays of the tournament, of any tournament in fact.

What do Nida Dar and Fatima Sana do here? Play for the quick win or slow down and take their time?

Rosemary Mair knows how to pick the exact moment to go for that slower ball. It completely did the batter there.

It's interesting to see that Nida Dar is only coming in now with Pakistan five wickets down.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5.4 overs

    Sidra Ameen b Mair 0 (Pak 28-5)

I'm struggling to keep up here.

It is a brilliant delivery from Rosemary Mair. Full and straight at the toes of Sidra Ameen, who cannot jam her bat down in time and it smashes into middle stump

    Pakistan fading fast.

That's a superb bit of work on the field by Lea Tahuhu who had a lot to do there. She had to get down, pick it up and throw underarm to clatter the stumps.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5 overs

Iram run out (Tahuhu) 3 (Pak 23-4)

    Out by a distance!

Brilliant work by Lea Tahuhu, who is mobbed by her team-mates.

She only had one stump to aim for running in from short third and nailed it.

  14. Umpire reviewpublished at 5 overs

Great fielding from Lea Tahuhu, who picks up and throws underarm in one movement for a direct hit.

Iram Javed could be in trouble here.

I am just thinking at what point Pakistan are going to change their tactics. Fatima Sana has just come in and she's showing how attacking she is as a captain. I think they will be going for it.

Pakistan are right to be aggressive if they are to have any chance of reaching the semi-finals. But this is what can happen.

Pakistan are going to swing it. They will keep swinging until they can't do it anymore. That's my guess.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.1 overs

    Sadaf b Jonas 2 (Pak 21-3)

Fran Jonas jumps for joy as she gives one a bit of air and tempts Sadaf Shamas to dance down the track. But it is you miss, I hit time as the ball smashes into the stumps.

  19. Pak 21-2published at 4 overs

A maiden in the powerplay! Eden Carson has a huge smile on her face and for good reason.

Pakistan are a little frantic out there, looking to leather every delivery out of the ground.

    It's tight after three overs.

How key could those two early wickets be?
