Sachin Tendulkar, speaking to BBC Test Match Special, on trophy being named after him and James Anderson: "It's a fabulous feeling. When I got to know about the honour, I was ecstatic. I remember sharing this with my family and also spoke to Pataudi family as well.

"I feel it's a reflection of what, not just me, but Jimmy and I have been able to contribute to our nation in Test cricket and it's all about Test cricket, which is the most challenging format.

"Your vision, your planning, the way you execute your plan, the way you absorb pressure, how technically good are you - all these elements come into play and I feel top of the world because a trophy in the toughest format of the game, according to me, is being named after both of us."

James Anderson: "It's pretty surreal actually. You don't start playing cricket for things like this to happen, but when do happen it's lovely.

"Especially alongside Sachin, who not only played against him quite a few times, but growing up, watching him, seeing him play for Yorkshire as well, it’s just an incredible feeling and I'm very honoured to be a part of it."

    Thanks, Mike.

Well, those last couple of overs have put a very different spin on that morning session.

India would likely have been happy to reach lunch at 92-2 after being put in to bat. However, slightly less so given they were 91-0.

As for England, the bowlers toiled for much of the morning, found plenty of swing but created precious few chances. But two quick wickets sees them head into lunch at Headingley with a spring in their step.

  4. Lunch - Ind 92-2published at 25.4 overs

And the players head in for lunch following that wicket.

It was very much India's session until the last six deliveries, but England will be heading to the buffet with their tails up.

India will have to rebuild, but opener Yashasvi Jaiswal remains in place with 42 from 74 deliveries.

Time for me to hand over to Sam Drury for the interval and the afternoon session.

A great catch from Jamie Smith. It was a touch wide and Sudharsan was in danger area. A little tickle and he's gone.

There is a way in for England now with this game.

    It's a duck on debut!

A delivery that's heading down the leg side and Sudharsan tries to glance but can only edge to be gathered by a diving Jamie Smith.

That smells of a plan for the debutant - the previous delivery was along a similar line and Sudharsan almost offered an edge there, and England had a leg slip and backward square in.

Sudharsan will feel nervous and England should seize the opportunity here at the debutant. Can England sneak two in before lunch?

  11. Ind 91-1published at 25 overs

Not the greatest time to come in on debut, five minutes before lunch, but that's Sai Sudharsan's fate.

Stokes attacks the stumps and the debutant gets a bit of pad and a bit of bat onto it.

A good bit of bowling this. This one swings again, but not quite as full. A great catch from Joe Root, from a batter's point of view that is disappointing.

    England are on the board.

    Dave in Farnham delivers!

KL Rahul faces four balls from Brydon Carse without scoring and then slashes at his fifth, sending an edge flying towards the cordon.

Joe Root grabs it at first slip, falling back and taking the catch with his fingers pointing up.

A vital wicket just before lunch.

Come on England… seamers have all had a go, India openers are well set. Get the spinners on and see if we can get something to happen before lunch, change it up

There are not too many better sights than KL Rahul when he is driving through the off-side. He is magnificent when he does that.

The runs are beginning to come for India. It can't be long before Ben Stokes brings in the off-spinner.

  18. Ind 87-0published at 23 overs

Better from Brydon Carse, sending a delivery past the outside edge of Jaiswal.

He offers a hint of an appeal - we haven't heard many of those this morning - but there's not any conviction there.

Jaiswal then fires a cut into the ground and Ollie Pope stops the ball impressively on the dive at backward point, but Rahul adds his eighth four with a drive through the covers.

He's now on 42 - and as of the last over is ahead of his opening partner, who has 37. He was on four to Jaiswal's 19 after six overs.
