England captain Heather Knight: "It's drier than I thought it would be. We'd have bowled first as well but hopefully it plays well and we can put on a good performance for this sell-out crowd.

"We're playing four spinners today, Linsey Smith comes in. We're trying things out, see how it goes for us.

"The ODIs were really pleasing. At times we've not been able to finish off series so to win the third one in that way was really big for us. We're taking the same mentality into a different format but we know that New Zealand are very competitive in this format so we've got to be at our best."

New Zealand captain Sophie Devine: "Obviously with overhead conditions and the pitch being under cover for a day there will be a little bit early doors.

"It's a great oppoirtunity for us to start building a style of play. We are going to have to aggressive and adapt to different conditions.

"We know Southampton is going to be different to Bangladesh and it's about being able to adapt and adjust on the fly. It's up to us to problem solve and make decisions."

Sophie Devine gets her wish at the toss and chooses to bowl first with some iffy weather around.

There has been some rain throughout the morning, but it's looking clear for the afternoon so fingers crossed we won't have any delays!

They're expecting a sell-out crowd in Southampton so let's also hope for their sake it stays dry.
