  1. Eng 107-1published at 11.3 overs

    Unreal.

Nat Sciver-Brunt clubs one for four through mid-wicket, and then lofts one over cover next ball. Two completely different shots from two relatively similar balls.

Glorious timing, you literally can't bowl anywhere to her in this kind of form.

  2. Eng 98-1published at 11 overs

Sciver-Brunt rubs salt into the wound for Eden Carson, crisply timing the last ball of the over for four with another sweep.

Who'd want to bowl at these two?

It doesn't matter how many fielders you have on the leg side for that six. That is incredible striking from Danni Wyatt.

  4. Eng 93-1published at 10.3 overs

Followed by four down the ground!

    Wyatt's on the charge.

    Play yourself in after drinks?

Nah. Danni Wyatt slaps the second ball over mid-wicket for six.

I would say 160 is par on this pitch but England will be looking to get beyond that.

Just the one wicket for England so far, which they'll be happy with considering they lost the toss.

Lea Tahuhu has probably got the better of her match up with Danni Wyatt during their international careers. Danni is trying to fight fire with fire at the moment.

  9. Eng 82-1published at 10 overs

Decent response from Tahuhu, but England have got a brilliant platform at the halfway stage.

New Zealand need a strong fightback.

  10. Eng 78-1published at 9.1 overs

Another glorious piece of timing from Danni Wyatt, just dabbing one past the keeper using Tahuhu's pace on the ball.

England would have used Alice Capsey in the powerplay if they had lost a wicket early as another hitter, but at this stage they pivot to Nat Sciver-Brunt.

  12. Eng 74-1published at 9 overs

    My word.

Nat Sciver-Brunt shuffles across her stumps and sweeps Amelia Kerr, bang in front of middle stump, for four runs.

Big risk but she gets the reward.

Maia Bouchier showed more glimpses of her sparkling form in an entertaining 32 from 26 balls.

  14. Eng 67-1published at 8 overs

England keep the experiments coming, just making sure we're on our toes.

Nat Sciver-Brunt comes out at three instead of Alice Capsey, and she effortlessly flicks her second ball for four. Class.

Bright and breezy start from Maia Bouchier. It will be a special wicket for Lea Tahuhu having come back into the side after giving birth.

    Bouchier c Plimmer b Tahuhu 32 (Eng 61-1)

Bouchier picks out deep mid-wicket this time!

Lea Tahuhu drags back a bit of control for New Zealand by mixing up her pace and bowling just back of a length. Bouchier can't resist going after it, and holes out to Georgia Plimmer who takes a simple catch on the boundary.

Bouchier is visibly frustrated with herself but she's given England another cracking platform.

It's a cracking start by England but New Zealand will not be too disappointed. It's a cracking surface and put a few quick wickets on the score and it doesn't look so bad.

  18. Eng 58-0published at 7 overs

The full toss, works every time - almost.

Danni Wyatt nearly holes out to mid-wicket as leg-spinner Amelia Kerr searches for rhythm, but it just lands short of Georgia Plimmer out there.

A poor over from Kerr, struggling to pitch the ball, but still she gets out of the over without conceding a boundary.

Danni Wyatt is not going to miss out on that. England in total control. It's putting extra pressure on New Zealand by finding at least a boundary an over.

  20. Eng 52-0published at 6 overs

Sophie Devine beats Wyatt outside the off stump with a beauty, the first time that either of the openers have been troubled. But she's clipped for four next ball after dropping it too short and then clubbed over the covers for four more.

It sums up New Zealand's series, really. Occasional moments of control, but interspersed with too much ill-discipline to make it count.

    England's powerplay, comfortably.
