Well, the blow to the elbow hasn't had much of an impact.

Rishabh Pant tucks into another short ball from Josh Little and that flies over the ropes for six.

Mark Adair conceded 12 runs from his final over but he has been the pick of the Irish bowlers, taking the only wicket and a big one at that by dismmising Virat Kohli.

The paceman is the only Ireland bowler with an average below 20 in T20s and along with Gareth Delany he has impressed in what is a losing cause.

India are showing the patience with the bat which Ireland sadly lacked although they have the luxury of chasing a paltry target.

And now the physio has to come out for Pant, who is hit on the elbow by Josh Little. A nasty one, but he's all right to continue after a bit of treatment.

Rohit's hurt his shoulder. The best thing to do is walk off, it's a long tournament and this game is in the bag. He's got his fifty, a can go off and get his shoulder looked at.

  5. Rohit Sharma retires hurt on 52published at 18:05 British Summer Time 5 June

After the drinks break, Rohit Sharma walks off with a sore shoulder. It may have been from the one that was caught at cover, which Ireland reviewed.

With the game all but won, it's a sensible move. Suryakumar Yadav replaces him in the middle.

I do think the pitch has got easier. I don't know if that's because Ireland haven't bowled well. It just felt like it's been harder in the first innings than the second.

  7. Ind 76-1published at 10 overs

    Need 21 runs to win

Two more from the final ball and that's a productive over for India.

12 from it and at the halfway mark, they're in total control.

Rohit Sharma brings up his half century, no-one's been able to do that in the two games we've watched here.

  9. 50 runs

50 for Rohit Sharmapublished at 9.5 overs

    Ind 74-1

Rohit Sharma's innings has been a combination of his usual elegance and timing, compared with some really awkward slogging.

He mis-cues one from Mark Adair over the top for a couple via another streaky shot, before the bowler gifts him a full toss to pull for four to reach his half-century.

    A vital one, too.

  10. Ind 64-1published at 9 overs

    Target 97

I was looking forward to seeing Josh Little bowl on this tricky pitch which was offering plenty to the seamers.

    He's bowled three overs, 0-33.

A few boundaries in this game when you're not chasing a huge total can completely change the game.

  12. 6 runs

    Ind 64-1published at 8.4 overs

    Back to back!

Same shot and same result. India are cruising to their total now.

  13. 6 runs

    Ind 58-1published at 8.3 overs

And he responds with a crunching pull shot for six!

    Not bad.

  14. Not outpublished at 8.2 overs

It wasn't a particularly confident review and that's why - it's come off Rohit Sharma's shoulder. That's how much it bounced!

  15. Ireland reviewpublished at 8.2 overs

    Is Rohit Sharma gone?

He gets in a right tangle as Josh Little finds some extravagant movement off the pitch. The fielder at cover takes the catch but there's some uncertainty about whether it's come off the bat or the arm.

    Paul Stirling reviews.

Just for a moment I thought the fine leg was in the game, because Pant didn't get hold of it - he plinked it!

  17. Ind 52-1published at 8 overs

    Target 97

This'll be over pretty quickly if Rishabh Pant stays out there.

It's not exactly pretty but he's getting the job done. A top edge flies just over the keeper for a couple, before he clubs another down the ground for four.

The Desai family have driven down overnight from Toronto in Canada for this match.

That's journey of some 500 miles. Slightly more than Glasgow to Plymouth by way of comparison.

"We've not had much sleep but it's absolutely great to be here to see our heroes play in the flesh!" they tell me.

Just the one wicket so far for Ireland, but it was the big scalp of Virat Kohli.

  20. Ind 43-1published at 7 overs

    Target 97

Again, Ireland tick through a probing over but the wickets just aren't coming.

India can do this in singles if they have to. Rohit and Pant are playing and missing quite a lot, there's still some uneven bounce, but they know they've got so much time and no scoreboard pressure.
