Rohit Sharma looks like he wants to put the DJ in a headlock.

They can't turn Billie Jean off.

Now they don't seem able to turn Michael Jackson off the PA system...

It looks like the leccy in Rohit Sharma has done their job.

The players are back out in the middle.

Here is the offending floodlight. It's going to take a big ladder...

Still we wait for a resumption.

A few of you are asking what the DLS par score is. That doesn't come into it until the 20-over mark.

I still want to find the electrician reading this page who is closest to Cuttack.

Clearly the bank of experience that Rohit Sharma has allowed him to be free. If it was an inexperienced England player coming under that pressure, he'd be trying to hit all the wrong shots and overthinking it.

Re 12:49, that would be 55 rupees for the meter.

Normally I'd recommend switching it off and back on again, but seeing as that's the problem...

    • South Africa - 37
    • England, Sri Lanka - 34

We said at the break that the start for England will be crucial. They needed a good start and that hasn't been the case.

Rohit Sharma, some of the shots that he's made have been beautiful.

It looks like everyone is going to leave the field now.

I didn't think I'd write this. Floodlight failure has stopped play with India 48-0 after 6.1 overs.

Some of England's players are walking off.

Rohit is deep in conversation with the umpires. The other five floodlights are probably providing enough light to continue but Rohit seems to be suggesting the flashes are a distraction.

The crowd have turned to their phone torches to try and get this game back under way.

England might be finding a way to avoid defeat here.

We always get told someone needs to put 50p in the meter in these situations.

I'd be interested to know the actual solution.

  20. Ind 48-0published at 6.1 overs

Play restarts for one delivery but then the light goes out again.

Rohit shakes his head. It's the fact it's flickering that is the issue.
