  1. 6 runs

    SA 270-9published at 47.1 overs

    David Miller is still going!

A short ball from Kyle Jamieson flies into the stands.

  2. SA 264-9published at 47 overs

    Target 363

The target is finally below 100 for South Africa.

The slight problem is that there are only three overs left for them to get there.

  3. 50 runs

50 for David Millerpublished at 46.3 overs

    SA 263-9

David Miller drives Will O'Rourke down the ground to bring up his half-century from 46 balls.

Awkwardly, it goes unnoticed by some of his team-mates. They eventually deliver some delayed applause.

What a night for New Zealand. It's perfect as long as Matt Henry is OK.

There were moments when you thought they might not make the most of their foundations, but they did.

Mitchell Santner got the vital wickets and started the fall of South Africa.

  5. SA 259-9published at 46 overs

The camera pans to some glum faces in the South Africa dressing room.

They were in such a solid position at 161-2 but Rassie van der Dussen's departure to Santner changed the game.

At least he went for it and, after a strange innings, Kagiso Rabada is gone.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 45.3 overs

    Rabada c Phillips b Henry 16 (SA 256-9)

Matt Henry strikes again, and New Zealand are nearly there!

A short ball, Rabada tries to heave it for six but Glenn Phillips is perfectly positioned for a simple catch on the boundary.

  8. SA 253-8published at 45 overs

    Target 363

Kagiso Rabada has finally had enough of just knocking it around inexplicably, by hitting two boundaries in Mitchell Santner's final over, but it's not particularly damaging to the skipper's figures.

3-43 from his 10 overs. Class.

Mitchell Santner's accuracy and control has been exceptional today. His wicket to wicket line has kept the stumps in play and offered no width at all to the South African batters. 61% of his deliveries so far have projected to hit the stumps - the highest for any spinner in a match in this tournament.

  10. SA 245-8published at 44 overs

    Target 363

Good news for New Zealand, as Matt Henry is fit to bowl after hurting his shoulder earlier.

South Africa can still only manage singles. Sigh.

I don't understand the tactics from South Africa. They need three a ball and they're blocking it. It's game over, but they may as well play some shots.

Kagiso Rabada can hit a long ball but he's dutifully trying to stick with David Miller, who is hitting it brilliantly.

  13. SA 240-8published at 43 overs

    Target 363

Kagiso Rabada blocks out most of Mitchell Santner's ninth over, and then takes a single from the final ball to keep the strike.

    Make it make sense.

  14. SA 237-8published at 42 overs

    Target 363

    One-bounce four!

David Miller is going to enjoy himself out there, even if South Africa are on the brink.

That's more like it from David Miller! It's sailed over the boundary.

  16. 6 runs

    SA 232-8published at 41.1 overs

Far too short from Glenn Phillips and David Miller muscles it for an enormous six.

The theory here is that Lahore is a batter-friendly pitch and it hasn't spun but Mitchell Santner has managed it.

  18. SA 226-8published at 41 overs

    Target 363

And here is Santner, whose eights over goes for just three.

3-32 so far from a spell which turned the match around for New Zealand.

  20. SA 223-8published at 40 overs

South Africa need a very unlikely 140 from the final 10 overs.
