  1. SA 105-1published at 18 overs

    Target 363

100 up for South Africa, sealed with a four lofted over mid-off by Temba Bavuma.

It's an expensive over from Michael Bracewell, with 11 - including a wide, a boundary, and a three - from it.

  2. SA 94-1published at 17 overs

    Target 363

Mitchell Santner is briefly interested in an lbw shout against Temba Bavuma, but wicketkeeper Tom Latham talks him out of the review. It looks like it was missing the stumps.

In the outfield, Glenn Phillips is feeling his ribs/backs a little gingerly after throwing the ball in.

The two sides are neck and neck after 17 overs...

He's a funny bowler Mitch Santner, he looks like he shouldn't spin the ball. There's no leading arm at all.

New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner has brought himself into the attack.

South Africa have got a bit of momentum now. They started slow, Bavuma couldn't get off the mark but now he's picked it up. Van der Dussen has played well. It will be positive amongst the South African bench.

  6. SA 90-1published at 16 overs

    Target 363

Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen rotate the strike and whittle five more runs off their chase.

They're pretty much neck and neck with where New Zealand were at the same stage, but can they match their acceleration? New Zealand smacked 110 runs off the final 10 overs of their innings.

It's a bit breezy here now. Something that New Zealand won't want to happen is the dew to settle later.

  9. SA 85-1published at 15 overs

    Target 363

Glenn Phillips enlivens proceedings with a shy at the stumps. Temba Bavuma scurries safely home.

Off the next ball (the fourth), South Africa dash through for another single and are grateful to a fumble from Mitchell Santner which prevents a run out opportunity. Good running.

  10. SA 79-1published at 14 overs

    Target 363

So far, he hasn't threatened to take a wicket but Michael Bracewell is keeping South Africa's batters quiet from one end.

    Two singles for South Africa.

As good as New Zealand were in the first eight overs, South Africa punished them when Jamieson and Henry missed their length in the last two overs of the first powerplay. They pulled their lengths back quite significantly by 85cm and conceded 20 runs in the two overs.

NZ - average length in the first powerplay:

    First eight overs - 7.45m (36-1 at 4.5 rpo)

    Last two overs - 8.30m (20-0 at 10.0 rpo)

  12. SA 77-1published at 13 overs

    Target 363

Ooooh Rassie van der Dussen is playing with fire.

He starts the over with an uppish drive that just clears a leaping fielder in the covers and finishes it with an ugly shot into the air off a shorter ball.

You don't want to be taking risks like that against a fielding outfit as good as New Zealand.

  13. SA 72-1published at 12 overs

    Target 363

Michael Bracewell has much more successful first over than Will O'Rourke, conceding three singles.

Time for spin! It's Michael Bracewell.

    Temba Bavuma has suddenly accelerated.

It is difficult for the bowlers at the minute with Bavuma and Van Der Dussen. It's hard to get the right length because they have such a height difference.

New Zealand pacers have attacked the stumps more often and bowled a lot fuller compared to South Africa in the first powerplay today.

In the first 10 overs, 25% of Henry and Jamieson's deliveries so far have projected to hit the stumps compared to 7% for South Africa. They're fuller too with an average length of 7.45m for New Zealand, compared to 8.05m for South Africa.

  17. SA 69-1published at 11 overs

    Target 363

It's not a great start from O'Rourke, with 13 runs coming from his first over.

Temba Bavuma's boundary - guided through the vacant slip region - is very deftly struck.

  18. SA 60-1published at 10.1 overs

    Thanks Ffion.

We're not the only change, with Will O'Rourke replacing Matt Henry in New Zealand's attack.

Aaaand he's immediately slapped for four by Rassie van der Dussen.

  19. SA 56-1published at 10 overs

    Target 363

A decent powerplay for South Africa, despite the loss of Ryan Rickelton, and that signals my time to hand you back to Elizabeth Botcherby for the next 20 overs of the chase.

That was a poor delivery. Temba Bavuma just helped it along the way.

It's amazing how a couple of boundaries can just change the whole impetus.
