It's a big breakthrough for Sri Lanka and a big mistake from Harry Brook who was trying to drive it through the off side.
Brook c&b Jayasuriya 32 (Eng 119-4)
That's a clean take, Joe.
Just popped back on the half-drive, Jayasuriya takes it tumbling forward and to his left.
In comes Jamie Smith, the first innings centurion.
A caught and bowled?
Prabath Jayasuriya thinks he's nabbed Harry Brook, but Joe Root is insistent he reviews.
Mind you, he was insistent Lawrence review his lbw.
Just two overs for Vishwa Fernando, here's Milan Rathnayake.
One run from the over, a no-ball.
It's a long one, as Joe Root decides a change of bat is required half-way through.

Brook looks settled and in full control. I think Sri Lanka are going to have to dangle the carrot and bring a fielder forward to allow him to make the big strokes but, if he makes a mistake they'll be there to get him out.

A change in angle to over the wicket for Jayasuriya, and he'll be looking to bring the stumps into play. Of the 60 balls he's bowled to Brook and Root today, only 15 would have hit the stumps - that's very low for a finger spinner and the defensive line is largely to blame.
Harry Brook is unable to score from Jayasuriya, that's another maiden.
We've still got plenty more overs left in the day though.

It feels as though England are getting a little bit more assertive.
Vishwa Fernando switches to over the wicket, Brook turns him to long leg for a swiftly-run two.
Joe Root has been so good on the back foot in this innings - scoring 15 off 22 when sat back, as opposed to 5 off 25 when getting on the front foot.

Credit to Sri Lanka here - no one gave them any chance - they have fought bravely and taken it deep into day four, more fight than the Windies showed. I’m off to Lord's next week and, absent Wood on top of Stokes, England will need to respect them all the more.
Robert, Billericay
Root and Brook treat the spinner with greater caution, taking a couple of singles from Jayasuriya.

I've loved the last hour of this Test. Sri Lanka have bowled well and made it difficult for the Yorkshire pair. It's not been easy, and if Sri Lanka can break this partnership they might have a chance.

That was lofted by Brook and it's the kind of cricket he wants to be playing.
Target 205
The number of runs required drops below a hundred as Brook squeezes a two to the left of cover.
He closes Vishwa Fernando's first over - he's come in for namesake Asitha - with a nice drive over extra over for four.

It's just a bit too wide and Root played the sweep shot well.
Root takes England past the hundred mark, getting down to sweep Jayasuriya to the fine-leg boundary.
It's just cut off the boundary, and that's another of the many threes we've had in this match.
When you tell the kids they can't have the family size bag of sweets in the supermarket.
Brook sees off five Asitha Fernando dot balls, before taking a single to point to retain the strike.
