  1. Postpublished at 18:02 British Summer Time

    Middx 238 & 345-8 (target 365) v Kent 129 & 473

The threes keep coming and Matt Parkinson finishes another over.

Middlesex need 20 runs from 42 balls with two wickets still up and they are favourites now surely.

Kashif Ali is back for Kent as the visitors look for a significant breakthrough.

    This is the game.

  2. Postpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan v Derbyshire 289-8 (target 338)

Derbyshire have understandably abandoned their run chase now.

Five overs to go. Two wickets to protect.

  3. Postpublished at 17:58 British Summer Time

    Middx 238 & 342-8 (target 365) v Kent 129 & 473

Three off the over from Joey Evison and stand-in Kent skipper Jack Leaning is going to have to have a think about whether he changes the bowler.

Matt Parkinson is keeping things very tight at the other end but Kent need a wicket.

  4. LANCASHIRE DRAW WITH GLOUCESTERSHIREpublished at 17:54 British Summer Time
    Breaking

    Lancashire (450 & 255-8) draw with Gloucestershire (589-8 dec)

Lancashire have batted out the day to secure the draw.

At 160-6 and with a small lead they looked in trouble, but crucial knocks from Luke Wells and Tom Hartley took overs out the game and gave them enough of a lead.

The game will be remembered for Ollie Price's superb 253 not out for Gloucestershire.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:54 British Summer Time

    Thomson c Northeast b Leonard 8 (Glamorgan v Derbyshire 287-8, target 338)

Two wickets to go for Glamorgan!

Alex Thomson simply chips Ned Leonard to mid on where Sam Northeast takes a diving catch.

The 51 runs needed for victory is looking very unlikely now as Luis Reece comes in at 10.

  6. Postpublished at 17:54 British Summer Time

    Middx 238 & 339-8 (target 365) v Kent 129 & 473

Matt Parkinson is down on his knees imploring for an lbw but the umpire is unmoved, seeming to indicate he thought it was going down leg.

Zafar Gohar had got a big stride in and it was turning sharply so he might have a point. Very, very close though.

A single off the final delivery to bring the runs needed to 26. Nine overs left.

  7. 'Singh Dale has managed to find another wicket'published at 17:51 British Summer Time

    Lancs 450 & 253-8 v Gloucs 589-8 dec

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Tom Hartley's epic effort has come to an end. If it ends in a draw then he's played his part with the bat today.

Ajeet Singh Dale to his credit right at the back end of the match has come steaming in and has managed to find another wicket from somewhere.

  8. Postpublished at 17:49 British Summer Time

    Middx 238 & 338-8 (target 365) v Kent 129 & 473

Edged off Joey Evison by Toby Roland-Jones and it flies past the dive of second slip to bring a much needed pressure release.

Five from the over and it is 27 runs needed now.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time

    Hartley c Bracey b Singh Dale 37 (Lancs 253-8, lead by 114)

Tom Hartley goes, but surely he's done enough to save the game?

The impressive Ajeet Singh Dale gets him caught behind.

However, the lead is up to 114 and only nine overs remain (or seven for a change of innings).

  10. Postpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan v Derbyshire 278-7 (target 338)

Alex Thomson survives Ben Kellaway's hat-trick ball playing a solid defensive shot.

60 off 51 balls now seems a long way away with only three wickets in hand.

  11. 'The pendulum swings again'published at 17:45 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan v Derbyshire 278-7 (target 338)

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

Ben Kellaway gets through him, it's two in two and all of a sudden the pendulum swings again.

  12. dropped catch

Dropped... sort ofpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time

    Middx 238 & 333-8 (target 365) v Kent 129 & 473

Zafar Gohar has a swipe at Matt Parkinson and the ball flies to Tawunda Muyeye at the squarer of the two short legs fielding close.

It flew at him and didn't really give a chance rebounding off his knee. Chance but harsh to even call it that.

Two off the over. Middx need 32 from 66 balls.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:43 British Summer Time

    Chappell b Kellaway 0 (Glamorgan v Derbyshire 278-7, target 338)

    Bowled first ball!

Zak Chappell swings, misses and the ball clatters into the stumps.

It's a fourth wicket for Glamorgan spinner Ben Kellaway.

    And he's on a hat-trick...

  14. Postpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time

    Middx 238 & 331-8 (target 365) v Kent 129 & 473

Joey Evison fires one down the leg side that wicketkeeper Chris Benjamin does well to take standing up to the medium pacer.

He then gets one past the edge of Zafar Gohar's bat.

Dots follow and it's one from the over. It is very tense out there. Middx need 34 from 72 balls.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time

    Andersson c Cooke b Kellaway 78 (Glamorgan v Derbyshire 278-6)

    The classic commentator's curse.

Martin Andersson tries to reverse sweep Ben Kellaway but gets a top edge to the keeper.

In comes Zak Chappell at eight for Derbyshire. 60 needed off 53 balls.

  16. Postpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan v Derbyshire 278-5 (target 338)

Martin Andersson battingImage source, Getty Images

Derbyshire need 60 off 54 balls.

What a brilliant knock this has been from Martin Andersson - 78 off 94 deliveries.

Anuj Dal has also raced to 31.

    Are Derbyshire now favourites?

  17. Postpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time

    Middx 238 & 330-8 (target 365) v Kent 129 & 473

Just two singles off Matt Parkinson's over

So the numbers that matter are... Middlesex need 35 runs from 78 balls with two wickets remaining.

  18. Postpublished at 17:36 British Summer Time

    Lancs 450 & 245-7 v Gloucs 589-8 dec

Tom Hartley battingImage source, Rex Features

Huge credit has to go to Lancashire's Tom Hartley here, who's batted for almost two hours.

He's taken the hosts out of trouble at Old Trafford.

11 overs to go, 106 the Lancashire lead.

  19. Postpublished at 17:34 British Summer Time

    Middx 238 & 328-8 (target 365) v Kent 129 & 473

Just another single from the over from Joey Evison who needed some sharp fielding at midwicket to keep it that way as Toby Roland-Jones tried to bully one to the rope.

Middlesex need 37 runs. Kent need two wickets. We all need a lie down.

  20. 'Not a lot happening for van Buuren'published at 17:32 British Summer Time

    Lancs 450 & 240-7 v Gloucs 589-8 dec

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Not a lot happening for Graeme van Buuren with the second new ball from this Brian Statham End to the delight of Lancashire.
