  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19 overs

    Soper b Russell 10 (PNG 122-7)

    Another wicket for Andre Russell.

Soper is unable to find a shot off that fuller ball and Russell takes his second wicket, clean bowling Soper.

It has been a good over for Papua New Guinea and they have showed off their athleticism, scoring 10 runs in the over and running quickly between the wickets.

Alzarri Joseph is back for the final over of this innings.

Andre Russell has played enough T20 cricket to know that is fair game!

  3. PNG 116-6published at 18.1 overs

A streaky hack from Soper finds the bottom edge of the bat and runs away to the boundary at fine leg for four.

Russell couldn't do much about that, just rotten luck.

  4. PNG 112-6published at 18 overs

A good over from Papua New Guinea, bringing up 13 runs and scoring off every delivery.

A good score from here would be 130 or north of that and with two overs to go, it is certainly possible.

That is a welcome boundary. It just sat up nicely for Doriga after a slower all from Sheperd.

  6. PNG 106-6published at 17.3 overs

Doriga picks up his first boundary of the day.

A pull shot dispatches a slower, shorter ball from Shepherd and finds the square leg boundary.

I would expect Brandon King and Johnson Charles to be very aggressive at the top of the West Indies order.

  8. PNG 99-6published at 17 overs

A couple of balls before Bau was dismissed, a swing and a miss from Doriga actually clipped the top of off stump on the way through to Pooran, but the bails remained unmoved.

A good over from Joseph as he claimed his second wicket, with just three runs coming from it in total.

That is very well bowled by Alzarri Joseph. Bau has played really well though and he can take something out of this game.

It is a day that Sese Bau will remember for a long time.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.3 overs

    Bau b Joseph 50 (PNG 98-6)

Sese Bau bows out on 50.

Very well bowled from Alzarri Joseph. Bau was set and confident, but a slower ball gets through the defences of Bau and brings his innings to a close.

A very good knock and one that Papua New Guinea desperately required.

  12. PNG 96-5published at 16 overs

Chase's allocation comes to an end as his final over gives away just two singles.

From 50-4, this has been a good rebuild from Papua New Guinea and from losing early wickets, there should be something respectable posted on the board.

  13. 'Can they get to 130?'published at 16:38 British Summer Time 2 June

Five overs left, five wickets left. Can they get up to 130, 140?

  14. 50 runs

50 for Baupublished at 15.1 overs

    PNG 95-5

A nudged single for Sese Bau off the bowling of Roston Chase brings up a World Cup half century.

Bau has found six fours and a six so far, with three of his seven boundaries coming in the same over.

Whatever Papua New Guinea post at the end of this innings, they can thank Bau for his big contribution.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15 overs

    Amini c Pooran b Russell 12 (PNG 94-5)

A thin edge carries through to Pooran and Amini is gone.

A very tidy over from the experienced Russell ends with a wicket.

Papua New Guinea's 44-run stand between Bau and Amini comes to an end.

  16. 'Bau has batted beautifully'published at 16:34 British Summer Time 2 June

    Roland Butcher
Former England batter on BBC Sounds

Bau has batted beautifully, he has played some fine shots particularly against the spinners. His footwork has been very tidy and there is more confidence on the faces of the PNG players now.

What's important now is that Bau remains there at the end.

Re: potential upsets - I have a sneaky feeling USA may surprise Pakistan. Bowling was a bit poor yesterday but Pakistan's warm-up wasn't the best, whereas the US beat Bangladesh. Maybe as an England fan I am playing down England being good, rather than Pakistan being poor.

  18. PNG 90-4published at 14 overs

Some poor fielding gifts Papua New Guinea a couple of extra runs. Amini drove well, it should've been a single, they forced a two and a miss-field gave them three runs.

Joseph is frustrated as nine come from the over.

Andre Russell is back in for a second spell.

  19. PNG 86-4published at 13.4 overs

An top edge from Bau as Joseph delivers a shorter ball, but the height of that shot takes it over Pooran and to the boundary for four.

Bau is now on 46 and is closing in what would be a great half-century.

  20. PNG 81-4published at 13 overs

An expensive over there for West Indies, with Bau finding 14 off Motie, two fours and a six.

Papua New Guinea needed to kick on and with Bau now set on 42, his performance from here on in could solely dictate that.
