Annabel Sutherland finishes with 3-15 from her 20 balls.

Manchester Originals have 10 balls to see out the innings but their hopes of making the top three are fading fast.

Annabel Sutherland has faced many a short ball from Lauren Filer so tried one of her own.

Sutherland slammed the ball in halfway down the pitch and it was a simple catch for the wicketkeeper.

Make that three wickets for Annabel Sutherland.

The Australia all-rounder is some player and she gives Lauren Filer a taste of her own medicine with a sharp bouncer.

Filer tries to pull it but can only feather it through to Bess Heath.

Another failed ramp - we saw one earlier from Alice Monaghan.

It is a difficult shot with the slower ball. You can get into good position but just have no pace to work with.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 87 balls

    Morris c Ballinger b Sutherland 7 (Originals 89-8)

Forget a big finish, Manchester Originals might not last the 100 balls...

Another attempted ramp/ scoop shot and another simple catch for Grace Ballinger at short fine leg.

Fi Morris gets a bit more on this than Alice Monaghan a few balls ago but still nowhere near enough.

A second wicket for Annabel Sutherland.

  6. Originals 87-7published at 85 balls

After going for 13 in her first five balls at the start of the innings, Grace Ballinger has come back very well.

Another very tidy five balls and she now has 1-21 from 15.

Originals are seven down but they can't afford to just limp to the end of the innings. With 15 balls left, they need a big finish.

If I was Kate Cross, I would be screaming at the captain to let me get some more wickets.

  8. Originals 83-7published at 80 balls

Boundary first up but Annabel Sutherland's next four balls go for only two more.

Superchargers are well in control here. They'll know they are getting ever closer to clinching a top-three spot.

Fi Morris is more than capable. She has opened the batting for Lancashire in T20 cricket and plays all around the ground.

A handy batter to come in at this stage.

  10. Originals 81-7published at 76 balls

No option but to keep going for Manchester Originals, they need every run they can get with a place in the Eliminator on the line.

Fi Morris comes in and gets off the mark with a boundary, whipped in the air, just past mid-wicket and into the gap for four.

In more positive news for the Originals, Seren Smale is in good form with the bat. She's been inventing new shots in this year's competition...

A bit of shape there from Nicola Carey. It swung away from Sophie Ecclestone at the very last second.

Ecclestone will want her chances with the ball now.

Two in three balls for Nicola Carey!

Great yorker from the Australian. Angling in at the toes of Sophie Ecclestone and then just shaping away ever so slightly late on.

That's enough to beat the bat and crash into the stumps.

That was really good from Nicola Carey, just as some momentum was building. She is a great inclusion for the Superchargers.

She changed her pace there and you could see Alice Monaghan didn't get all of it.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 73 balls

    Monaghan c Ballinger b Carey 26 (Originals 76-6)

Ramped... straight into the hands of short fine leg.

Alice Monaghan tries to keep the boundaries coming but there just wasn't enough pace on that delivery from Nicola Carey to allow her to get it up and over the fielder.

Grace Ballinger won't take a more straightforward catch.

    Carlos Brathwaite
Former West Indies all-rounder on BBC Two

Great use of the feet from Alice Monaghan and very straight. There is hardly ever a fielder down there.

Originals will need a lot more of those big hits.

  17. Originals 75-5published at 70 balls

    Top shot!

Alice Monaghan uses her feet to Linsey Smith and powers the ball back down the ground for six.

Four next ball, too. Clean hitting from the Originals batter as she puts away a full toss through the leg side.

Originals need plenty more of that.

  18. Originals 63-5published at 65 balls

Kate Cross has been excellent again today.

The seamer gets through another five balls for the cost of only three runs and there's an appeal for lbw last ball.

Alice Monaghan is hit on the foot but the ball was sliding well down leg.

Northern Superchargers' Alice Davidson-Richards speaking on the player's mic on BBC Two: "Beth Mooney got off to a flyer which is not fun for us to watch. The bowlers have pulled it back well so far.

"The batting side love this pitch at Headingley. There have been brilliant wickets produced this year and it looks as though it will only get better.

"Kate Cross has stoked up all the pressure and has kept her game simple. She always leads from the top and is good fun."

Edged down to deep third for four by Alice Monaghan.

They all count, now more than ever for Manchester Originals.
