Alana King is completely in her groove now. She is desperate for another wicket in her column and she deserves it.

  2. Ban 119-4published at 33 overs

    Mostar 19, Shorna 1

15 balls have been edged today according to our stattos. That gives you an idea of how much worse it could still have been for Banladesh had Australia taken their catches and had others gone to hand.

Alana King appears a little grumpy after that drop in her previous over. She should have two wickets after nine overs at least but has to settle for 1-18.

We all know what they say about London buses but it appears the same thing happens in Visakhapatnam. After 85 balls without a boundary, Sobhana Mostary hits two in two balls to get the score moving again.

Could Bangladesh play a few more shots here to get up and down the wicket and clock some easy runs?

If they were more proactive, it would force the Australia bowlers to have to change their lines.

  8. dropped catch

Shorna dropped on 1published at 31 overs

Australia have dropped another. They have been pretty generous with their fielding today.

This time it's a regulation catch at slip for Beth Mooney. You won't get easier in that position.

Shorna Akter survives though it is another maiden from King.

The run-rate has just dropped in the last few overs since the fourth wicket has fell. Do Bangladesh settle in with wickets in hand? Really they need 200 plus to be competitive at all.

  10. Ban 109-4published at 30 overs

Bangladesh are digging in so hard they'll soon reach South America as one run comes off the bat in this Annabel Sutherland over.

Sobhana Mostary and Shorna Akter have both made fifties in this tournament but this - Alana King ripping it on a turning pitch - is a different thing altogether. King bowls her second maiden.

That was a nothing shot really. Alyssa Healy did the hard work but just could not quite make all of her ground.

Almost another! New batter Shorna Akter gets in an almighty tangle to a Annabel Sutherland bouncer. All she manages to do is chip a catch in the air off a top edge.

Wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy is the closest fielder. She comes sprawling in up towards the stumps but can't get there in time to get more than a glove tip on the ball.

A deserved wicket for Alana King. She has created lots of opportunities and has put in good graft.

Dot, dot, dot, single, dot, wild swing and stumped.

It's fine bowling from Alana King who has it on a string. A pretty ugly way for Nigar Sultana Joty to be dismissed as she is stranded out of her ground.

Bangladesh have not always looked comfortable but they have found the boundary and have kept the run-rate ticking. If they can continue like this, they can even push for a 250 score.

Thanks Mike. Annabel Sutherland is hurrying through her mix of slower balls impressively.
