WICKET: Yates c Ingram b van der Gugten 4published at 15:15 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 247-9 v Warwickshire 12-1 (2.3 overs)

That's just the start Glamorgan's bowlers were after!

Good line from Timm van der Gugten and Rob Yates can only steer the ball to first slip, where Colin Ingram grabs it around chest height.

That's got the locals shouting some encouragement as Will Rhodes walks out to the middle.

Leicestershire have been quick out of the blocks here, cracking on through the first five overs to establish a nice early bridgehead.

Sol Budinger is in the driving seat, racing to 23 from 16 balls decorated with four shots which have raced to the rope. And now Ian Holland has joined in the fun bashing a loose one from Josh Davey to the fence

  3. Bears begin chase in Cardiffpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 247-9 v Warwickshire 2-0 (1 over)

Rob Yates and Ed Barnard launch Warwickshire's pursuit of 248 and it's a quiet first over, tidily delivered by Timm van der Gugten.

Just a couple of leg-byes to get the Bears' reply under way - they're chasing just under five an over to reach the final.

  4. Postpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 334-4, Leicestershire 10-0 (2 overs)

    Decent start from Leicestershire.

Sol Budinger gets the reply off the mark with a four in each of the first two overs.

It was 'pace off' from them with the ball but it is very much 'pace on' for Somerset who have Riley Meredith touching 87mph in his first over.

  5. Leicestershire start reply chasing 335 to winpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 18 August

Somerset will have enjoyed their lunch but will know they are not home and hosed quite yet.

In Leicestershire they are facing a side who have two of the top four high scores in this competition this season (363 v Sussex at Hove earlier this month and 369 v Nottinghamshire at Leicester in July).

In addition they have a fearsome middle order, including overseas pair Peter Handscomb and Ajinkya Rahane, whose 128-run stand in the quarter final against Hampshire booked their semi spot here.

Furthermore, Somerset posted 316-5 against Derbyshire here in the group stages on 4 August, only to see the visitors chase it down with 10 balls remaining.

That said, Lewis Goldsworthy will not sleep tonight if he ends up on the losing side after a barnstorming and beautifully judged 115 not out, which is now his high-water mark in List A cricket.

Superb knock by Dan Douthwaite, who ends the innings with a flourish, pulling Michael Booth for two more sixes and then steering the final ball for four.

Douthwaite finishes unbeaten on 55 from 35 balls - and that innings has certainly given Glamorgan's bowlers something to defend.

Warwickshire will need 248 to reach the One-Day Cup final.

  8. Postpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 230-9 (49 overs) v Warwickshire

Wow. That takes some doing and Dan Douthwaite has managed it twice in the over!

Douthwaite deposits Olly Hannon-Dalby for two sixes over midwicket - despite one hand coming off the bat both times - and then takes a single to retain the strike for the final over.

  9. wicket

WICKET: Gorvin run out 11published at 14:25 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 216-9 (48.2 overs) v Warwickshire

Nine down now as Andy Gorvin is run out at the bowler's end, coming back for the second.

Dan Douthwaite's drive to long on was swiftly returned to bowler Olly Hannon-Dalby and Gorvin's desperate lunge was not quite enough.

  10. Goldsworthy puts Somerset in chargepublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 334-4 (50 overs) v Leics

This has been a very well-judged innings from the hosts as it turns out. Despite a slow start from the openers Lewis Goldsworthy picked up a baton and bolted, his 115 a best List A score for the 23-year-old batsman.

It has put his team in a great position at the break and while it is not game over with the line up Leicestershire have, Somerset will certainly be the happier dressing room at the halfway stage.

  11. wicket

WICKET: Van der Gugten c Smith b Booth 26published at 14:16 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 201-8 (46.1 overs) v Warwickshire

You got the feeling Glamorgan were about to start throwing the bat - and Timm van der Gugten swings outside off stump at Michael Booth, spearing the ball to third man where Kai Smith judges the catch neatly.

Andy Gorvin emerges to join Dan Douthwaite for these last 23 balls.

  12. 200 runs

Glamorgan pass 200published at 14:15 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 201-7 (46 overs) v Warwickshire

Warwickshire have given Will Rhodes a fifth over to try and balance out their overs and the medium-pacer pitches one up that Timm van der Gugten gratefully dispatches to the cover fence.

Van der Gugten has moved on to 26 now, with Dan Douthwaite on 21 and Glamorgan have four more overs to try and nudge this total into the 225-230 region.

Lewis Goldsworthy rode his luck to get to his century, which then turned into his highest List A score.

But he was dropped (a very difficult chance) on the deep midwicket boundary moments before.

It is a superb knock from the Somerset man, who reached his century with a mistimed pull. His five sixes and four fours have given Somerset real oomph after a steady start.

  14. wicket

WICKET: Dickson c Handscomb b Walker 18published at 14:10 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 303-4 (47.4 overs) v Leics

    The Somerset captain goes.

That is a check to this late innings surge from Somerset but the damage is perhaps done with the hosts skipping past the 300 mark.

Goldsworthy and Dickson combined for a quick 52 partnership for the fifth wicket and have rattled along at over 10 an over

  15. Postpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 184-7 (44 overs) v Warwickshire

A rare moment as Michael Rae strays off line and Timm van der Gugten takes advantage by guiding it down to the third man boundary.

Van der Gugten has now caught up his partner Dan Douthwaite on 15.

These could prove valuable runs for Glamorgan.

  16. Postpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 175-7 (42 overs) v Warwickshire

For now, Dan Douthwaite is having to curb his natural attacking instincts and concentrate on making sure this Glamorgan innings goes the distance.

The all-rounder has played some eye-catching shots already in his knock of 15 from 17 balls, but it's all about accumulating singles alongside Timm van der Gugten and building a base for a late onslaught.

    Eight overs remaining.

  17. wicket

WICKET: Rew c Kimber b Wright 71published at 13:50 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 251-3 (43.3 overs) v Leics

Leicestershire players congratulate Louis Kimber as James Rew departsImage source, Rex Features

    Superb catch at deep midwicket.

James Rew goes down on one knee to slog sweep Wright flat towards the midwicket boundary but he picks out Louis Kimber a few paces inside the rope, a late dive to his left sealing the deal.

A cracking innings from the tall left-hander, his 71 coming in 57 balls in a 131-run partnership with Lewis Goldsworthy.

It has injected pace and urgency just when it was needed for Somerset.

North of 300 is very much in reach now.

  18. 250 up for Somersetpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 250-2 (42 overs) v Leics

Lewis Goldsworthy goes big, smashing Chris Wright back over his head at the start of an over which goes for 15 as the Somerset pair start to motor.

Chris Wright has been the most expensive of the Leicestershire line-up with his eight overs going for 58 at 7.25 apiece.

The last three overs have gone for 35.

The 130-run stand from Goldsworthy and Rew has pushed Somerset into a decent position with this late flurry.

The run rate has nudged up to approaching six an over.

  19. wicket

    WICKET: Root c Hannon-Dalby b Rae 46published at 13:45 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 167-7 (39.5 overs) v Warwickshire

Billy Root departs in CardiffImage source, Huw Evans Picture Agency

There's to be no half-century for Billy Root.

The left-hander batted valiantly for his 46, but he flicks Michael Rae off his hips and lofts the ball tamel into the hands of the long leg fielder.

A big blow for Glamorgan, who really needed him to bat through the rest of the innings.

Timm van der Gugten is out there now alongside Dan Douthwaite.

  20. Postpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 164-6 (39 overs) v Warwickshire

It looks as though Warwickshire are holding back Olly Hannon-Dalby's last two overs for the death, rather than going for the jugular.

Michael Booth is back on in place of OHD, but he's just been drilled for a beautiful straight four by Dan Douthwaite, who has moved on to nine.

Billy Root, meanwhile, is six short of a half-century. Glamorgan badly need him to complete that - and then some.
