  1. 100 runs

Somerset get to three figurespublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 100-1 (20.5 overs) v Leics

Some grumbles from locals at the Cooper Associates County Ground (other County Grounds are available) that this has been a tardy start from their boys with Andy Umeed and the now departed George Thomas both putting down an anchor early on.

Plenty to come though with Lewis Goldsworthy, James Rew and Sean Dickson all capable of ramping up the rate.

Wickets in hand are always preferable in limited overs formats so high 200s should still be well within reach for the hosts.

  2. Barnard basking in the sun for Bearspublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 48-4 v Warwickshire

It’s been a torrid time for Glamorgan with Bears captain Ed Barnard and veteran Olly Hannon-Dalby keeping things ultra-tight in the powerplay overs against a top order struggling for form.

Barnard removed Asa Tribe and Kiran Carlson in the same manner, edging to Rob Yates at slip, and key man Sam Northeast fell lbw to leave Glamorgan on the ropes.

Meanwhile Hannon-Dalby made life tough for Will Smale with the ball moving just enough to beat the outside edge - but it was Barnard who got him after 39 balls of resistance..

After a hugely successful group campaign, this risks being an anti-climax for the Cardiff crowd basking in the sun.

  3. dropped catch

Postpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 48-4 (17 overs) v Warwickshire

Ed Barnard should have a five-wicket haul here.

He finds the edge of Colin Ingram's bat - but Rob Yates, who's gobbled up three slip catches off his skipper already, spills what looked the most straightforward of the lot!

Ingram survives - can he make Warwickshire pay for that let-off?

  4. wicket

WICKET: Thomas lbw b Scriven 47published at 12:12 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 91-1 (19 overs)

Breakthrough for Leicestershire as Scriven gets one to nip back at Thomas.

A mixed effort that from the Somerset opener. Neither he nor Andy Umeed have been really playing with the choke out.

Leaves a little bit for the Somerset middle order to do now if they are to get near to 300 despite it being a strong start.

Andy Umeed has made over 1,000 One-Day Cup runs over the last two seasons for Somerset

A change of pace for Leicestershire as they try to land a first blow.

Liam Trevaskis's left arm spin is brought on to halt the gathering moment from the Somerset openers - with both Thomas and Umeed north of 30 and the partnership up to 82.

No immediate impact as Somerset take five from his first offer.

Another Ed Barnard wicket, another Bears celebration

    We've seen this before...

Yes, it's a carbon copy of the first two wickets - again Ed Barnard gets the ball to fizz up and Will Smale can only steer it to slip, where Rob Yates does the honours again.

Billy Root comes out to join Colin Ingram.

Glamorgan badly need a partnership of substance from these two.

  7. Postpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 39-3 (14 overs) v Warwickshire

Finally Warwickshire opt for a bowling change, with Michael Booth on to replace Olly Hannon-Dalby.

Booth's first over goes for three runs, with Colin Ingram now recovered and moving into double figures on 10, while Will Smale has 13 to his name.

  8. 50 runs

Somerset openers breeze past 50published at 11:56 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 65-0 (15 overs) v Leics

A little more urgency from George Thomas and Andy Umeed now with the Somerset openers starting to swing at a couple.

Thomas is into his 30s now, with Umeed not far behind him and the partnership up to 65.

Leicestershire need a breakthrough and Tom Scriven, joint leading wicket taker in this competition with 17, and Roman Walker are now tandem as the pair charged with getting it.

  9. ouch!

Postpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 36-3 (12 overs) v Warwickshire

Brief stoppage after a productive over for Glamorgan, with Colin Ingram taking a stride forward and steering Olly Hannon-Dalby cleanly past mid-off for four.

OHD may not have liked that too much, as he digs the final ball of the over back into the left-hander and it catches him, er, amidships as they used to say.

A little bit of recovery time required for Ingram here.

  10. Postpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 29-3 (11 overs) v Warwickshire

Colin Ingram gets off the mark by clattering Olly Hannon-Dalby for a couple on the off side, but it's all about rebuilding here for him and Will Smale.

There's a play and miss from Ingram at Ed Barnard as well, though - and the home side really can't afford to lose their most experienced batter after shedding those three early wickets.

  11. Postpublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 42-0 (10.4 overs) v Leics

LBW shout and that looked very close indeed.

Umeed is hit on the back pad prodding at one from Ian Holland.

Given not out but it looked worth a shout

Ed Barnard was successful with his LBW appeal to claim his third wicket of the morning in Cardiff

Ed Barnard is tearing through Glamorgan's top order in this powerplay!

The Warwickshire captain has collected all three wickets so far and this is a big one, the ball nipping back at Sam Northeast to rap him on the pad - and up goes the umpire's finger.

Colin Ingram is the new man at the crease for Glamorgan - probably rather earlier than he'd have liked.

George Thomas went into the game with 217 One-Day Cup runs to his name, including a century against Lancashire

End of the first powerplay which Somerset have not exactly leapt all over, the two openers not yet batting with any great fluency or confidence but hanging in there.

Both teams will be happy enough with their start but Umeed and Thomas must surely be thinking about releasing the handbrake as we kick on towards the hour mark.

  14. Postpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 19-2 (8 overs) v Warwickshire

Not surprisingly when a couple of quick wickets go down, the runs aren't flowing too freely.

Glamorgan need to regroup here and Sam Northeast is yet to get off the mark, but Will Smale has just struck his second boundary, a sweet cover drive off Olly Hannon-Dalby.

That four makes it a positively expensive over for Hannon-Dalby by his miserly standards so far.

  15. wicket

WICKET: Carlson c Yates b Barnard 8published at 11:26 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 15-2 (6.2 overs) v Warwickshire

Same again from Ed Barnard - and Glamorgan are now two down.

Another rising delivery causes problems for Kiran Carlson and takes the edge, with Rob Yates diving to his right to take his second catch.

Sam Northeast strides out for Glamorgan - they've witnessed big scores from him in all formats this summer and might need another one today.

  16. Postpublished at 11:26 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 29-0 (7 overs) v Leics

There don't look to be any demons in this pitch and, predictably on a sunny day, not a great deal of lateral movement as Somerset make a confident and solid start.

Aside from Chris Wright's loose second over they are taking their time though, easing along under four an over after six.

First glimpse for the visitors in the seventh over - an inside edge off Ian Holland which Umeed gets away with.

  17. Postpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 15-1 (6 overs) v Warwickshire

Brisk start by Kiran Carlson, who punches Ed Barnard for successive boundaries on the off side to get the scoreboard ticking along.

Glamorgan are finding it a lot harder to get Olly Hannon-Dalby away, though.

There's not a great deal of pace in the surface for the seamer - with wicketkeeper Michael Burgess standing up to the stumps - but he's putting the ball in the right places and his three overs so far have yielded just one run.

    Breakthrough for the Bears!

It's Ed Barnard who takes the first wicket, finding a little extra bounce and Asa Tribe can only fend it off to first slip, where Rob Yates snaps up the catch.

That brings Glamorgan captain Kiran Carlson to the middle.

  19. Postpublished at 11:16 British Summer Time 18 August

    Somerset 16-0 (4 overs) v Leics

First boundary of the morning from Andy Umeed, Chris Wright leaving one hanging short outside off and the Somerset opener crashing a four through point.

Loose ball but lovely shot. Down leg side for four leg byes on the final ball as the fourth over goes for 12.

  20. Postpublished at 11:11 British Summer Time 18 August

    Glamorgan 6-0 (3 overs) v Warwickshire

Fairly tight from the Warwickshire seamers in these early overs, with Olly Hannon-Dalby sending down a maiden and Ed Barnard giving away just two singles in over three.

Asa Tribe got himself off the mark with one of those singles, while Will Smale has five to his name.
