Lauren Filer is an exciting prospect for England. She has that extra pace and that's something I want to see more around world cricket - having more women bowling faster.

  3. NZ 31-2published at 6 overs

    Target 156

Lauren Filer's second over, barring that full toss in the first ball, has been absolutely superb.

Four more dot balls follows the wicket and Sophie Devine cannot get off the mark.

The powerplay ends with New Zealand 31-2.

The comeback delivery gets her - don't make a fast bowler angry.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5.2 overs

    Bates 16 c Sciver-Brunt b Filer (NZ 31-2) Target 156

    The perfect response!

Lauren Filer bowls shorter and Bates goes to swing at it again.

Bates can only balloon it up in the air, giving Nat Sciver-Brunt the easiest of catches at mid-on.

  6. NZ 31-1published at 5.1 overs

    Target 156

A full toss from Filer is picked out Suzie Bates, who fires it off the bat through mid-wicket for four.

Filer will not have wanted that start to the over.

  7. NZ 27-1published at 5 overs

    Target 156

A seven-run over in total for New Zealand.

After an over of spin, England are going back to pace with Lauren Filer.

    Frankie Mackay
Ex-New Zealand all-rounder on BBC Two

I rate Charlie Dean very highly - she's got a great sense for the game and can genuinely spin her off-spinner. She has that sixth sense of when to slow it down or bowl quicker.

  9. NZ 26-1published at 4.5 overs

    Target 156

Charlie Dean comes into the attack for her first outing with the ball in this innings.

Rattles through these first five balls, but the fifth is a shorter and offers Suzie Bates the chase to sweep it away for four.

  10. NZ 20-1published at 4 overs

    Target 156

Good response from Freya Kemp, giving up just two further singles from the rest of the over.

New Zealand are at five an over so far, having needed just shy of eight at the start of their innings.

  11. NZ 18-1published at 3.2 overs

    Target 156

Well-timed and placed from Amelia Kerr, who makes the most of a wider ball before slashing it away for four.

New Zealand may look to try and use Kemp's pace to their advantage.

  12. NZ 14-1published at 3 overs

    Target 156

Five runs come from the over in total as New Zealand's opening partnership is broken.

We're now going to see Freya Kemp come into the attack.

That's a clever bit of bowling from Lauren Bell - she saw what shot Georgia Plimmer was trying, banged it in a bit shorter and found the edge.

It's showing Lauren Bell's development as a bowler that she could adapt within her delivery when she saw the batter move.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.5 overs

    Plimmer c Jones b Bell 8 (NZ 13-1) Target 156

Lauren Bell does get her wicket!

Bell pitched that delivery a bit shorter, knowing Georgia Plimmer would try and just flick it past Amy Jones behind her.

Plimmer fell for it, goes for the clever shot but gives Jones the easiest of catches.

    Breakthrough for England.

Lauren Bell has got Night Fever dance moves!

  17. Not outpublished at 2.2 overs

    (NZ 13-0) Target 156

Hard to completely prove, but if Lauren Bell did touch the ball, there was not enough evidence to prove she did.

Could've done with some sort of snick-o on the bottom of Lauren Bell's right boot to prove that either way.

    Suzie Bates survives.

  18. NZ 13-0published at 2.1 overs

    Target 156

Lauren Filer is back in the action, but will be gutted after putting in the hard yards when attempting to stop Georgia Plimmer's ramp shot going for four.

She got to the ball, grabbed and threw it while doing a forward roll, but was unable to do enough to prevent it.

  19. NZ 9-0published at 2 overs

    Target 156

That four was all the over produced in total as Lauren Filer finds five dot balls from it.

A very pleasing start for her.

Suizie Bates is strong in the 'V' and she's using her feet to try and open up that area and throw Lauren Filer off.
