    It's been an intriguing session.

Warwickshire would have been pleased with their morning session but that wicket of Sam Hain on the stroke of lunch would have tipped it in Surrey's favour.

    That has changed things.

  3. Lunch at the County Groundpublished at 13:09 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants v Glos 80-1

Cameron Bancroft sealed his half-century just before the interval and Gloucestershire have had an enjoyable morning in Northampton.

Just the one breakthrough for the hosts, George Scrimshaw removing Ben Charlesworth for 16.

  4. Lunch at Sophia Gardenspublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 10 May

    Glamorgan v Sussex 94-2

A nice partnership developing between Cheteshwar Pujara (24*) and Tom Alsop (27*) sees Sussex through to lunch.

They lost both openers in the morning session but seem to be back on track now.

  5. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 94-1

Jack Leaning's occasional spin rounds-off the morning session at sunny Canterbury.

Jake Libby's departure lbw to Wes Agar for 19 felt like a big breakthrough at the time but Gareth Roderick (32*) and Kashif Ali (26*) have steadied the ship with an unbroken 63-run stand for the visitors.

On a baking hot day it looks like this afternoon could prove a session of toil for the home bowlers after Daniel Bell-Drummond lost a fifth-straight toss earlier today.

  6. wicket

WICKET: Bohannon lbw b James 35 & LUNCHpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 10 May

    Nottinghamshire v Lancashire 83-2

Lyndon James with the wicket just before lunch at the end of his fourth over.

Full and perhaps crashing into leg-stump, that slightly changes the session you would have otherwise said Lancs dominated.

  7. wicket

WICKET: Hain c Foakes b Roach 17 & LUNCHpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 88-3

Sam Hain does not like this one bit. Kemar Roach loves it.

Hain comes forward at one angled in by Roach and the ball carries through to Ben Foakes while Roach wheels away with a celebrappeal. Did it flick his pad, or the edge? It doesn't matter now, he has to haul himself off.

The last ball of the morning session brings the third wicket. Hain follows Rob Yates and Alex Davies who had made a positive, if streaky start, putting on 59 in the opening 13 overs.

Advantage to the champions at the interval.

  8. 50 runs

50 for Cameron Bancroftpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants v Glos 80-1

Gloucestershire's Aussie opener Cameron Bancroft has reached a half-century off 90 balls, including seven boundaries.

Nicely timed before the break and whatever is on the lunch menu will taste a lot nicer now.

  9. Lunch at the Utilita Bowl, Southamptonpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 10 May

    Hampshire 85-1 v Durham

31 overs in the session thanks to plenty of spin from Callum Parkinson who got Fletcha Middleton with a beauty-the only wicket to fall.

Ali Orr has his first Hants 50, he's 52* and Nick Gubbins 11*.

  10. Postpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 10 May

    Nottinghamshire v Lancashire 79-1

Keaton Jennings through the leg side for four is a phrase often written and said in commentary on test and County cricket over the past decade.

He takes Olly Stone through there again to reach 25* but is hit amidst ships next ball as the bowler gets slight revenge, still swinging the Dukes ball into the lefthander in the 27th over.

  11. 'Pujara has been fantastic for Sussex'published at 12:58 British Summer Time 10 May

    Glamorgan v Sussex 79-2

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Cheteshwar Pujara has been fantastic since he came to Sussex.

This is his third season with the club.

  12. Postpublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 88-2

Half hearted appeal for... something... against Will Rhodes from Dan Worrall and the Surrey slips.

The ball looks like it flicked off the top of his pad and glanced behind where Ben Foakes made a tricky catch to his left look easy.

The slips were not sure if it was an edge or an LBW shout. In the end it was neither.

Rhodes and Sam Hain have steadied the ship for the visitors, though Surrey have stemmed the flow of runs impressively.

  13. Division Two updatepublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 10 May

It took Gloucestershire's Oliver Price 29 balls to get off the mark but he's now done so, with Cameron Bancroft on 48 not out at the other end with their side 72-1 against Northants.

The ever-reliable Cheteshwar Pujara has settled in nicely for Sussex alongside Tom Alsop with their side on 87-2 approaching lunch against Glamorgan.

  14. 50 runs

Maiden Hampshire 50 for Ali Orrpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 10 May

    Hampshire 82-1 v Durham

Having showed all sorts of beautiful shots, from cover and straight drives off Pete Siddle to the run down and bopping of Callum Parkinson over the top for four, Ali Orr has looked in great nick.

Brydon Carse is taken for two by the southpaw, getting his half-century from 94 balls.

  15. Postpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 87-1

First spin of the match with 10 minutes of the first session to go as Matt Parkinson takes over from Wes Agar at the Nackington Road end where he'll try to use the slope to his advantage.

That only works if he hits the pitch though. His second ball is a wide full-toss which Kashif Ali slaps away to the deep cover rope.

  16. Postpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 81-1

And of course Gareth Roderick punches the very next ball for a straight four off Wes Agar. Sorry, Wes! The commentator's curse is real.

  17. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 77-1

It's been 10 overs without a boundary for Worcestershire as Gareth Roderick (25*) and Kashif Ali (18*) seek to lay the foundations for a big score after the early departure of in-form Jake Libby with a lot of singles.

  18. Postpublished at 12:42 British Summer Time 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 76-2

Like office workers up and down the country on this sunny Friday morning, Sam Hain and Will Rhodes have half an eye on the clock and are counting down the minutes to lunch.

The pair have added only 17 runs in their 61 balls together so far.

Surrey have cycled through their four seam options in the south London sunshine.

  19. Parkinson strikes with third deliverypublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 10 May

    Hampshire 55-1 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Hampshire chose to bat in the sunshine on the south coast and it looked a good decision because in the first hour they'd reached a methodical 44 runs without loss.

So Durham handed the ball to left-arm spinner Callum Parkinson and he struck with his third delivery, cutting a ball back which took Fletcha Middleton's middle stump. He was out for 18.

We are told this track will be a good one for the spinners and Colin Ackermann has also come into the Durham attack, so we now have spin from both ends.

  20. Sanderson's century of appearancespublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants v Glos 58-1

    Andrew Radd
    BBC Radio Northampton

George Scrimshaw's extra bounce has given Northamptonshire the breakthrough they needed after opting to bowl first at Wantage Road, finding the edge of Ben Charlesworth's bat an hour into the opening session.

Ben Sanderson - making his 100th first-class appearance for Northamptonshire - delivered a typically tidy opening spell without picking up a wicket.

Sanderson becomes only the sixth player to reach that milestone for the club among those who have made their debut this century.

Another slice of Northamptonshire history will be celebrated at lunchtime with the unveiling of a plaque that sees former captain Geoff Cook inducted into the county's Hall of Fame, having received the same accolade at Durham last year.
