  1. At last...Orr onto 95*, first centurion of the round coming?published at 15:02 10 May

    Hampshire 164-2 v Durham

Vince paddle sweeps Callum Parkinson for three, then at last Ali Orr gets hold of one, it is a pretty risky, get out of trouble shot, coming down and slog sweeping over wide long on for four.

His run of maidens and dots is over, then like london buses, next ball a single takes him to 95*.

  2. WICKET: Kashif Ali c Finch b Parkinson 72published at 15:00 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 167-2

Precious breakthrough for Kent. There is to be no third century of the season for Kashif Ali who has played so well.

A couple of nervy shots off Matt Parkinson in the previous over paved the way for the leg spinner to strike, tempting Ali into an attempted square cut, only to glance the faintest edge into the gloves of Harry Finch who takes the catch smartly on his right hip.

The 136-run partnership is over. Brett D'Oliveira joins Gareth Roderick.

  3. Further dots from Durham to the expansive Orrpublished at 14:59 10 May

    Hampshire 156-2 v Durham

Immediately Pete Siddle puts in another slip for this shinier ball and beats Ali Orr on the outside edge.

Superb fielding by Siddle in his follow through, then a rash swing and miss at a wide yorker shows further evidence of Orr's increasing frustrations.

Another six consecutive dots to Orr on 90, I, the neutral reporter watching on, am getting bored of this rhetoric now, Durham meanwhile are loving it.

  4. Postpublished at 14:57 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 167-1

Matt Parkinson gets down on one knee to propose an LBW to the umpire after Kashif Ali had pull all his might into a huge swing through the leg side to a short pitched delivery, which he missed. Nothing doing.

Ali had gone aerial a moment earlier but plugged the ball 10 yards inside the extra over rope, a couple of yards over the shoulder of Daniel Bell-Drummond who was racing back into the vicinity.

  5. 'Always a massive wicket when Pujara goes'published at 14:56 10 May

    Glamorgan v Sussex 133-5

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

We did say that maybe Cheteshwar Pujara was getting a little twitchy. He played one or two very un-Pujara like shots picking the fielder.

He was looking to play that one through backward point, he's got a little nick and he was on his way.

It's always a massive wicket when he goes.

It's been a good spell of bowling, due credit to Mir Hamza for the way he has bowled and that's a wicket for perseverance. There was some good field placing by Sam Northeast.

The runs have slightly dried up for Sussex.

  6. Sussex in a spot of botherpublished at 14:55 10 May

    Glamorgan v Sussex 133-5

A great spell from Glamorgan's Mir Hamza who has wickets in back-to-back overs.

He followed up the big wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara (41) by removing John Simpson without scoring.

    Hamza's on 3-39 from 13 overs.

Those two wickets have changed the complexion of the match.

  7. New, used ball to disrupt Orr further?published at 14:54 10 May

    Hampshire 156-2 v Durham

Durham are playing on this Ali Orr on 90 thing too now.

Second ball of Pete Siddle's eighth over we have an already three minute delay on the south coast as Umpires convene as a trio to check the ball...

Over 15 minutes since Orr last scored a run now.

The ball was changed after 14 overs, but has been the same since, until now.

  8. Postpublished at 14:51 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 153-4

Surrey skipper Rory Burns saves a run with a lung-busting run toward the rope at long-off as Ed Barnard has to settle for three.

The outfield really slows up in that final 20-odd yards and just a hint of the amount of wet weather we've had over the past six weeks.

Will Rhodes has moved onto 31 from 91 balls while Barnard has a breezy 15 from 21 with a pair of beautifully-timed boundaries.

  9. Last time these two sides met here a batter was out on 90...published at 14:49 10 May

    Hampshire 156-2 v Durham

The last time these two sides met at The Bowl, in the final game of 2016, saw former Durham opener Will Smith make exactly 90 for Hampshire.

I am rather concerned how long such an aggressive and sweet-timing stroke-maker such as Ali Orr has spent on this same score, having creamed it around the Bowl for most of this afternoon session beforehand.

In that dramatic relegation battle Durham won by six wickets...Hampshire should have been relegated but were saved due to Durham's financial issues...

James Vince takes two boundaries off Callum Parkinson's latest over, but still no more runs for Ali Orr who has had strike...90*.

  10. 50 for Gareth Roderickpublished at 14:47 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 161-1

The keeper-batter has been there since the start and has patiently amassed his 38th First Class half-century without anything approaching alarm.

The South African-born right-hander has only scored two boundaries but brings up his fifty from 130 balls with a sweep off Matt Parkinson.

After scoring 108 runs across his first five innings this season, Roderick made a century in his last knock against Somerset and you can bet he will be thinking about another here today too.

  11. 'Agar struggling for rhythm'published at 14:45 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 154-1

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

On a day like today the last thing you'll want to be doing is bowling countless extra balls.

Even Wes Agar seems to be struggling for a bit of rhythm.

Two no balls in a row, it's becoming a headache for him and his captain Daniel Bell-Drummond.

It's not going to help the over rate either.

  12. 'Mousley wicket a massive breakthrough for Surrey'published at 14:44 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 134-4

    Fran Wilson
Western Storm batter on BBC Radio London

Dan Mousley wicket is a massive breakthrough for Surrey because his partnership was just building and Jordan Clark steamed in.

  13. Nervous 90 still for Orr...published at 14:41 10 May

    Hampshire 145-2 v Durham

Ali Orr has attempted to reverse sweep, then chipped one just short of mid on, but still not added a run since he reached 90, the largest number of balls he has spent on a particular score so far today as he gives Callum Parkinson a maiden over.

  14. Ali Orr into the 90s...published at 14:37 10 May

    Hampshire 145-2 v Durham

Ali Orr has becalmed a little bit since taking a liking to Matt Potts.

Pete Siddle into his seventh over, he is 0-11 off 6 overs, more economical than any of the other Durham bowlers bar Ben Raine thus far.

James Vince on just two so far.

  15. Postpublished at 14:35 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 139-4

Ed Barnard gets up on his toes and pushes a stomach-high ball from Jordan Clark away past point and it races away across the practice pitches to the short boundary for four.

He moves onto six. Will Rhodes has a gritty 25 from 77 balls at the other end.

Warwickshire have not won at The Oval since 2012 and if they are going to do so this week they will need to build some big partnerships, as well as take 20 wickets, of course. Simple, eh?

  16. 50 for Jennings and the partnershippublished at 14:35 10 May

    Notts v Lancashire 136-2

The 52-run partnership was brought up off 74 balls between Keaton Jennings and George Balderson, then shortly after, the South African born, England international Jennings brought up his 50 off many more balls, but he is doing a good job for his bottom-placed team against a good Notts attack.

    41 overs bowled so far.

  17. Division Two updatepublished at 14:33 10 May

Siddarth Kaul is enjoying his first start for Northants after joining on Wednesday.

He's found the edge of Ollie Price's bat, a big edge, and Emilio Gay takes a sharp catch at second slip to reduce Gloucestershire to 125-3.

Miles Hammond and James Bracey at the crease.

Sussex are also three down, for 121, against Glamorgan.

Mir Hamza goes up with a big lbw appeal against Cheteshwar Pujara but the umpire remains unmoved.

Pujara then sends a delivery down for four as he moves on to 41.

  18. 100 partnership for Worcestershirepublished at 14:27 10 May

    Kent v Worcestershire 136-1

Matt Parkinson flights one in outside off and Kashif Ali needs no invitation to thrash the ball through the covers for four. He's seeing it very well.

The century partnership between Ali and Gareth Roderick came from 190 balls.

There are more here for them too in the hazy afternoon sunshine.

  19. WICKET: Mousley lbw b Clark 25published at 14:23 10 May

    Surrey v Warwickshire 131-4

Four down. Jordan Clark has his second. 2-14 in his seventh over.

This one was pitching just outside off and straightens up to whack Dan Mousley high on the pads and he's gone. He's made some runs but he never looked entirely at ease in the middle.

Ed Barnard is the new batter, joining Will Rhodes.

  20. WICKET: Gubbins c Robinson b Parkinson 31published at 14:22 10 May

    Hampshire 134-2 v Durham

Nick Gubbins had looked comfortable but first nails one straight at short leg which opos out, then next ball tries to paddle sweep the left-arm spin of Callum Parkinson but can only top edge.

Graham Clark could have caught the second one also, he recovered well after the previous ball's blow at short leg.

86 was that second wicket partnership.
