Kent v Worcestershire 126-1
Kashif Ali brings up just his fourth First Class half-century 50 from 95 balls with a clip off his hips to fine leg for a single.
He had cracked his sixth fours through midwicket from the previous Wes Agar delivery.
He'll have an eye on his third century of the season based on these pleasant conditions, you'd expect.
Notts v Lancashire 117-2

It's encouraging for everyone, all the pain of the injuries that Olly Stone has had over the last couple of years
By that I mean all of the people that have worked with him.
The county coaches at both Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire.
The England coaches will want to get him fully fit and firing in the international ranks.
Surrey v Warwickshire 117-3
Surrey are the only Division One side to have earned a bonus point thus far in this round of fixtures, but Dan Mousley seemingly has his sights on getting his side to one before too long too.
He has 22 from 28 balls while Will Rhodes has an unflustered 18 from 69 deliveries, all ones and twos.
Kent v Worcestershire 119-1
Kashif Ali is warming up nicely for Worcestershire, he's pulled Beyers Swanepoel and now Nathan Gilchrist away to the deep square rope and then pushed Swanepoel gloriously through the covers for three to move to 45.
He has shared 88 with Gareth Roderick in 170 balls together.
The 26-year-old - who once played for Kent 2nds - made those two centuries in the opening game at Warwickshire but has only scored 57 combined in his last two innings.
Kent v Worcestershire 111-1

Perhaps as the four days go on the wicket might become slower and slower.
Considering the amount of rain that we've had it's extraordinary how it can be that dry.
A couple of wickets early in the afternoon session.
Gloucestershire's Cameron Bancroft lasted only three balls after lunch before misjudging a Siddarth Kaul delivery and being pinned lbw.
He departed for 53 to leave his side on 93-2 against Northants.
It's a bit of a nightmare way to get out for Tom Alsop of Sussex who played on to his own stumps while trying to punch the ball away through the off side.
He can't believe it but has to go and that gives Glamorgan's James Harris his second wicket of the innings.
Cheteshwar Pujara has moved on to 31 with Sussex 106-3.
Surrey v Warwickshire 109-3
Ben Foakes flies to his right after Sean Abbott slings one down Dan Mousley's leg-side and takes a superb catch.
He is convinced it's nicked the bat as Mousley followed the flight across his body but umpire Rob Bailey is not convinced and the finger remains by his side.
Maybe flicked off a thigh pad on its way through. The catch deserved a wicket, but it doesn't get one. That's got to be a dozen big appeals from the hosts in the opening 34 overs, but they have only three poles to show for them.
Hampshire 121-1 v Durham
2 overs for 27 since lunch for Matt Potts.
Two more boundaries off his latest over.
That leave between 'keeper and slip has not pleased the former England seamer who's frustrations are worsening.
Will he get another over?
The commentators think not, but apparently now he will!
Notts v Lancashire 100-2
Less Bazball scoring at Trent Bridge, Keaton Jennings in no rush on 30* off now 99 balls just to himself.
George Balderson's youthful exuberance has him 12* off 11.
Olly Stone still bowling at good pace - a positive sign for England prospects.
Hampshire 111-1 v Durham
Ali Orr looks in nearly as good touch as when he took the whiteball to all parts of Taunton in that ludicrous One-Day Cup knock of a couple of summers ago.
He takes Matt Potts for consecutive fours off the first two balls of his seventh over, (albeit one he appeared to intend to leave edged between wicketkeeper and first slip) then another four and three later in the same set.
Nick Gubbins has four off the last too so 19 off it and Potts is proving expensive again in this year's Championship.
Orr is now 70* and Gubbins 19*.
Spoiler: Nelson does not strike...
Kent v Worcestershire 101-1
Gareth Roderick brings up three figures as Beyers Swanepoel strays down the legs side and the Worcestershire opener cracks through midwicket for a couple.
17 of those runs have come by way of extras, it should be pointed out - 10 of them from no-balls from Wes Agar and Joey Evison.
Notts v Lancashire 96-2
Josh Bohannon and Haseeb Hameed are both Bolton lads in contrasting positions here today.
Hameed is now Notts captain and lost the toss to then watch his fellow Bolton-born batter fall to the last ball of the morning session.
Olly Stone steaming in after I guess not too large a lunch swilling around in his stomach.
Surrey v Warwickshire 100-3
Dan Mousley has his heart in his mouth for a moment as he tries to cut away a short ball from Kemar Roach, only to come within a whisker of dragging onto his own timbers.
Such is the pace on the ball it races away to the ropes to the right of Ben Foakes as he gets off the mark in the streakiest of fashion.
Later in the over Mousley cracks through midwicket for three to take his side into three figures.
Hampshire 90-1 v Durham
Remember last month Chester-le-Street lost a whole County Championship match to the rain for the first time ever in April.
No worries for that this week as it is so sunny in the south of England today, I spent my lunch break sunbathing with the Wisden Almanac, I wonder how many other fans or players spent their interval doing the same!?
Matt Potts and Callum Parkinson open up after lunch.
Kent v Worcestershire 96-1
That replete post-lunch buzz at Canterbury where Worcestershire are continuing to build their total, lego-style, one at a time in the balmy sunshine.
Gareth Roderick and Kashif Ali well over half-way to a century stand for this second wicket.
Surrey v Warwickshire 88-3
It might have been 41 minutes ago now, but that Ben Foakes catch which ousted Sam Hain was his 400th in First Class cricket. He's taken harder efforts, and more convincing perhaps, but still, a milestone which should be recognised.
Dan Mousley is the new batter in the middle, joining Will Rhodes.
The players are out and we're about ready to go again in the afternoon sunshine.
Glamorgan v Sussex 94-2
Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Sophia Gardens
Sussex will be the happier of the two sides after a fairly even first session in Cardiff as Sophia Gardens glistens under glorious spring sunshine.
There were some puzzled expressions around the ground when Glamorgan captain Sam Northeast won the toss and asked their opponents to bat.
The pitch looks like a good one and, with such beautiful weather, you would think these are conditions made for batting.
Glamorgan have bowled tidily enough - if not all that threateningly - to take two Sussex wickets before lunch, with Mir Hamza and James Harris picking up one apiece.
Cheteshwar Pujara, classy and unhurried as ever on 24, and Tom Alsop (27) are the batters at the crease having added 48 for the third wicket so far.
Lunch: Nottinghamshire v Lancashire 83-2

I thought Nottinghamshire bowled really well for the first half an hour.
The opening spell from Olly Stone and Dillon Pennington was really good.
Keaton Jennings and Josh Bohannon batted nicely together.
