Up, up and away! It's amazing how the complexion of a game can change in a heartbeat - three shots, three sixes.

Bigger, bigger and bigger from Phil Salt!

Three straight sixes from the England opener, which each shot getting bigger. The final one ends up in the River Taff.

That has sparked the innings into life.

This is the first time 21-year-old Cooper Connolly has opened the bowling in senior cricket.

  4. Eng 13-0published at 2 overs

A nervy start by Cooper Connolly, who is clubbed for four by Will Jacks first ball before bowling a wide.

England then nudge and nurdle their way through the rest of the over. 11 off it, but not quite the explosive start England were hoping for.

  5. Eng 2-0published at 1 over

A leading edge from Phil Salt shoots off towards the covers but it lands safely and England scramble a single.

A Will Jacks single off the final ball completes a fairly tepid opening over.

Left-arm spinner Cooper Connolly will open at the other end.

  6. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 13 September

Bournemouth-born Aaron Hardie, in just his 10th T20 international, will open the bowling for Australia.

We are ready to go again.

Phil Salt strides out to open the batting along with Will Jacks.

There will be little time to get your eye in. England need to be on it from over one.

    Thanks, Mike.

I agree that looks a pretty hefty total for Australia.

Some mighty hitting from Jake Fraser-McGurk helped get them there.

Once again Curran has been despatched to all parts. He may have been excellent in the T20 World Cup in Australia, but ever since he’s been regularly pummelled (for England at least). He’s becoming a liability. Surely time to be dropped.

Australia batter Jake Fraser-McGurk speaking to Sky Sports: "I have done some no.3 work in the Big Bash and IPL so it is not completely foreign to me. Pretty happy to get a score of over 20 for the first time in a while. I think we have put a good score on the board, lets hope we can defend it.

"Going to Scotland was tough in cold conditions, it felt quite foreign to me. I had not experienced that before. I did some work before this game, I got my opportunity and I'm glad I took it."

Well, that looks like a pretty formidable total even if England dragged it back a tad after the powerplay.

Fraser-McGurk top scores for Australia with 50, his first half century for Australia, while Josh Inglis chipped in with 42.

Liam Livingstone was the pick of the England bowlers with 2-16, while Brydon Carse took 2-26.

I feel that is an excellent score on this pitch.

  15. Aus 193-6published at 20 overs

Final ball - on a length and Green mishits into a gap, enough for a single to close the innings.

Green finishes on 13 from eight balls, Hardie has 20 from nine at the other end.

  16. Aus 192-6published at 19.5 overs

Another off-side extra as Curran searches for the wide yorker.

Curran bowls one with next delivery, but straighter, and Hardie gets it away into the covers for a single.

Livingstone the best bowler on the night. Why did he bowl only three overs?

    Dave in Shropshire

  18. Aus 190-6published at 19.4 overs

Curran sends down a slower ball that gets called for an off side wide.

Hardie gets the legitimate ball away towards mid-wicket and hurries through a two.

That's a really controlled shot as the temptation at this stage is to overhit.

    Aus 187-6published at 19.3 overs

    Hardie goes again!

Clubbed over mid-wicket and into the crowd!
