What a start for Katie Levick. That is almost exactly the same as the previous delivery.

Poor batting from the Spirit. They are in danger of falling apart.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 32 balls

    Gibson lbw b Levick 0 (Spirit 35-4)

Katie Levick is on a hat-trick!

Two in two for the Fire spinner and it is pretty much identical to the Cordelia Griffith dismissal.

This time it's Danielle Gibson going for the sweep, missing and walking off without reviewing because it was stone dead.

    Plumb, absolutely plumb.

A lovely delivery. Katie Levick held her length, nice and straight and kept the stumps in play which is really key as a leg-spinner.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 31 balls

    Griffith lbw b Levick 1 (Spirit 35-3)

Katie Levick strikes with her first ball!

Tossed up by the leg-spinner, Cordelia Griffith goes for the sweep, misses and she is absolutely plumb.

Hayley Matthews has an exceptional record bowling at Sophia Gardens. She's now taken 14 wickets at an average of just 13.9 in 11 Hundred matches here.

There is not a huge amount of turn but Matthews is keeping the Spirit batters guessing about what she is going to do next.

  8. Spirit 35-2published at 30 balls

It's a wicket maiden for Hayley Matthews.

Superb from the West Indies all-rounder. She takes the wicket of Georgia Redmayne then gets through three dot balls to the very dangerous Grace Harris.

    Alex Hartley
Former England bowler on BBC iPlayer

Hayley Matthews is such a key player. Redmayne will be annoyed with that because it wasn't the right shot to play.

It kept slightly low and Georgia looked to shovel it into the on-side.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 27 balls

    Redmayne b Matthews 11 (Spirit 35-2)

Two quick wickets for Welsh Fire as Georgia Redmayne is bowled.

The left-hander goes for the big sweep off Hayley Matthews but misses with the ball going on to clatter into the stumps.

A bit of pressure on Spirit as Grace Harris walks out...

London Spirit are off to a fast start once again, registering 35-1 in the powerplay today. They were 38-1 after the powerplay in their opening day win over Oval Invincibles.

    Michael Carberry
Former England batter on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

That's a big blow from an Oval Invincibles point of view. It was a good length from Behrendorff. The bat seemed to twist in Buttler's hand a little bit, he couldn't really get a hold of it. He threw his head back in frustration. What a catch from Donovan Ferreira.

A decent powerplay for the defending champions.

At the end of it, Georgia Redmayne and her team will be delighted.

  14. Spirit 35-1published at 25 balls

Powerplay over and it's been a good one for Spirit despite that wicket of Kira Chathli.

Cordelia Griffith is the new batter and gets off the mark with a single.

  15. Postpublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 9 August

    Sir Alastair Cook
    Ex-England captain on BBC iPlayer

Freya Davies banged the ball into the pitch and Kira Chathli just didn't time it at all.

She will be disappointed because it was there to be hit.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 23 balls

    Chathli c Matthews b Davies 19 (Spirit 34-1)

    Freya Davies makes the breakthrough.

Into the pitch from the Fire seamer and Kira Chathli just doesn't get hold of it at all with an attempted pull shot.

The ball loops to mid-wicket and Hayley Matthews takes a simple catch.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at Invincibles v Originals

    Buttler c Ferreira b Behrendorff 0 (Originals 18-2)

    Jack Skelton
    BBC Sport

Another duck. Another wicket for Behrendorff. And it's a massive one.

Former England captain Jos Buttler has skewed it off an inside edge to a tumbling Donovan Ferreira at mid-wicket.

    Trouble for the visitors.

  18. Spirit 29-0published at 20 balls

Jess Jonassen is into the attack but the Aussie left-arm spinner sees her first put away for four on the reverse sweep by Kira Chathli.

Just two more from the set but it's a good start for Spirit.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at Invincibles v Originals

    Hurst c Billings b Behrendorff 0 (Originals 18-1)

    Jack Skelton
    BBC Sport

Phil Salt smashed two sixes early on for Manchester Originals but has just seen his opening partner Matty Hurst depart for a golden duck.

Hurst nicks lanky left-hander Jason Behrendorff behind to Invincibles captain Billings.

The extra pace can hurt you if you don't get things right. As a left-hander like Georgia Redmayne, you dream about playing those shots across your body.
