Ellyse Perry is a different beast in T20s these days. She took the opportunity to work on her game when she didn't have the strike rate that Cricket Australia wanted.

Now she is one of the best all-rounders in the world, it's so impressive.

  2. Aus 102-2published at 11 overs

Ellyse Perry comes to the crease at the non-striker's end initially, and she's got the best view of Beth Mooney easing Sciver-Brunt through backward point for four.

The Australia number four gets a boundary of her own from her first ball, smacking the ball past mid-on and to the ropes to close the over and bring up Australia's hundred.

It was a brilliant bit of work from the England captain in the field at extra cover. She threw herself at the stumps in a full-length dive.

It is good timing as Phoebe Litchfield was just starting to motor.

Litchfield run out (Knight) 25 (Aus 91-2)

    England strike after the interval!

Phoebe Litchfield tries to take a quick single to Heather Knight in the covers but the England skipper hits the bowler's end stumps with a direct hit.

They take a look at replays, but Litchfield is only just diving into the frame as the bails light up.

That's the end of the dangerous number three, out for 25 from 20.

Very jealous of all the Australian listeners to the match in their warm gardens. I'm currently navigating heavy traffic on a cold (2.5 degrees!) misty morning to get to work!

Phoebe Litchfield is dismantling the England bowlers. She is so good both square and leg-side of the ball.

Heather Knight is coming in to have a chat, she's trying to get the field right but it's proving difficult.

  7. Aus 90-1published at 10 overs

    Another reverse sweep from Litchfield!

She lifts Dean over third and the ball runs away to the boundary.

Mooney then gets in on the action, striking through the covers for four, before taking a single from the final ball of the over to bring up the fifty partnership.

    Time for drinks.

Beth Mooney is so good to watch. She dances down the wicket and creates the length that she needs to hoick it over the fielders..

She never tries to over-hit and she will end up with a 130-140 strike-rate easily.

There have been only 12 cases of a batter hitting a six when switch hitting or reverse sweeping in Women's T20s - Phoebe Litchfield is the only batter to do it twice.

  10. Aus 78-1published at 9 overs

A first sight of the number one bowler in this format, as Sophie Ecclestone comes into the attack.

The Australia batters take her for a trio of singles before Mooney launches her final ball straight down the ground for four.

That is another chance which should have been taken. Two players were going after it, looking at each other, and it ended up falling into no-one's land.

Ben O'Hare: Bang average fielding from England again.

  13. Aus 71-1published at 8 overs

Is that a drop? Maybe a little harsh.

Mooney spoons the ball up just over the cover ring and the two England fielders seems a little confused as to who's going to attempt a catch.

It's Charlie Dean who's closest, and she's grim-faced as Australia take two.

Prior to that, Glenn had gone up for an lbw appeal against Litchfield, but got nothing out of the umpire and chose not to go upstairs with just one review remaining.

Beth Mooney has now passed 20 runs in her last six innings against England and brings her average back above 50 against England in T20s, the highest for any batter with at least six innings.

Sarah Glenn has the ball in hand for the first time today and Phoebe Litchfield obviously fancies her chances against the England leggie.

She smacks Glenn for four through cover then reverse slog-sweeps her for the first six of the match.

England have been loose and sloppy with their fielding and catching. Poor, very poor.

  17. Aus 57-1published at 7 overs

Good save from a diving Sophie Ecclestone down at the long-on boundary to save a Litchfield four - the Australia batters still run three to bring up their fifty.

Mooney gets it right from the following delivery, smacking the ball over the mid-wicket ropes for four with Danni Wyatt-Hodge unable to make it round to cut off the boundary.

Amy Jones has missed an easy stumping attempt. It slipped through her gloves and Nat Sciver-Brunt could have had Beth Mooney stumped on 16.

    It's a huge chance missed.

  19. Aus 48-1published at 6.2 overs

    Missed opportunity!

Nat Sciver-Brunt into the attack, her second ball is put down by Jones standing up the stumps as Mooney feathered an edge.

    Tough chance, but a chance.

Australia have been really proactive with their footwork in the early stages of this innings, coming down the track to 25% of deliveries so far. It's only produced one boundary for them when doing so, however.
