  1. Postpublished at 76.3 overs

    Durham 387 v Warwicks 271-6

Subtle adjustments by Durham - silly mid-off for Michael Booth, short mid-on for Kai Smith, but no slips.

The former picks up a single off Ben Raine to go to 35 not out, while Smith has 79 - both career-best scores.

  2. Close of play at Old Trafford as Anderson Phillip out LBWpublished at 18:07 British Summer Time 12 April

    Lancs 139-4 v Northants 496

    Last over of the day.

Just the four close catchers in for the leg spinner, Calvin Harrison.

Leg slip and slip among them.

Anderson Phillip is hit on the pad second ball and given!

    That's it for Day Two.

Full, beautifully flighted and hitting the boot just in front of off stump as Phillip tried to defend on the crease.

Out for a six-ball duck and the Red Rose are 357 adrift.

A great day for Northants who advanced to 496 this afternoon and removed the dangerous Marcus Harris before the close tonight.

Much will depend on the wicket of Keaton Jennings going into Day Three.

  3. Stumps at Hovepublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 12 April

    Sussex 294 & 246-1 v Somerset 201 (Sussex lead by 339 runs)

Tom Haines is happy to see off the over with minimal effort as he blocks out Archie Vaughan's maiden.

A very satisfactory day indeed for Sussex.

Earlier on today they bowled out Somerset for 201, with James Rew (80*) and Lewis Gregory (36) coming together with a partnership of 110 for the eighth-wicket the only real bright spot for the visitors.

Since then it's been all Sussex with Haines unbeaten on 117.

Somerset's sole wicket came via Jack Leach who did for Daniel Hughes (91) but Sussex take a very healthy lead of 339 into day three.

  4. Postpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 12 April

    Lancs 139-3 v Northants 496

Keaton Jennings keeps the strike with a bye off Calvin Harrison running away to fine leg.

Raphy Weatherall is in to his 10th over of the innings and a back of a length ball is defended on the up by the Lancashire captain.

He's not keen on taking the single here which begs the question why Anderson Phillip has been sent in ahead of the specialist batters.

That's a maiden over and Phillip will face Harrison.

  5. Postpublished at 7.2 overs

    Yorks 456 & 29-0 v Worcs 162

In the best traditions of Madonna, Adam Lyth is getting into the groove at Headingley.

He cover drives Jacob Duffy for four and then clips the next one away past mid-on for another boundary.

The left-hander is 17 not out.

  6. Postpublished at 17:59 British Summer Time 12 April

    Sussex 294 & 246-1 v Somerset 201

  7. Postpublished at 73.4 overs

    Durham 387 v Warwicks 263-6

Michael Booth sweeps Colin Ackermann for four and there is the 100 partnership between him and Kai Smith.

It is quickly followed by a new Warwickshire record for the seventh wicket against Durham, bettering the 103 stand between Rikki Clarke and Keith Barker at Edgbaston 10 years ago.

  8. Batting point for Warwickshirepublished at 17:57 British Summer Time 12 April

    Warwicks 261-6 trail by 126

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Kai Smith and Michael Booth have put a partnership together of 101 runs and helped Warwickshire pass the follow-on target too.

Durham haven't really had a sniff of a wicket since tea. The pitch seems flat and slow and the ball is 72 overs old.

Smith also looks set for his first century in FC cricket, having scored his first 50 earlier. He is on 77 and Booth is on 27.

It's gloomy and the lights have been on since 5.27pm. There are nine overs left today and we are looking at a finish of around 6.30pm.

  9. Division Two updatepublished at 17:57 British Summer Time 12 April

    #bbccricket

Martin Andersson has 80* and Zak Chappell 37* and Derbyshire are within 28 runs of the follow-on target at Grace Road, reaching 307-7 in reply to Leicestershire's 484.

That's also two handy batting points, with the promise of more, which looked unlikely at 139-6.

Ben Geddes has posted a half-century for Middlesex as they make Kent toil at Canterbury. The visitors lead is 198 with five second innings wickets still in hand.

Gloucestershire and Glamorgan remain off for bad light in Bristol with Glam 400 runs behind with seven wickets standing.

  10. Postpublished at 5.4 overs

The first shot in anger by Finlay Bean, who latches onto a short one from Tom Taylor and pulls it powerfully away for four.

  11. Postpublished at 17:55 British Summer Time 12 April

    Lancs 137-3 v Northants 496

  12. Batting point for Warwickshirepublished at 72 overs

Kai Smith square cuts Will Rhodes for four and Durham reach 250 - and collect a batting point.

A great effort by the pair of them.

  13. Postpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 12 April

    Surrey 253 & 103-1 v Hants 219

Brad Wheal is back for a second spell of bowling in this innings and Ollie Pope tucks the first ball away square for one.

Dom Sibley tucks a leg side ball away square for four to take Surrey past the 100 mark in the 25th over.

  14. Postpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 12 April

    Sussex 294 & 234-1 v Somerset 201

We have about four overs left today.

Sussex remain well on top and have a lead of 327.

Can Somerset take another wicket before close? It's been a tough day for them.

  15. Bad light stops play at Bristolpublished at 17:47 British Summer Time 12 April

    Gloucestershire 546 v Glamorgan 146-3

Mother Nature is a Glammy fan!

There might be rain soon too, but for now they are off for bad light with the visitors 400 runs adrift and three down.

The first stoppage of any kind across our nine matches across five-and-a-half sessions of this round of fixtures.

  16. Postpublished at 69.5 overs

    Durham 387 v Warwicks 238-6

Kai Smith certainly seems to have a solid technique.

A couple of nice drives only bring him two runs each because of men stationed around the boundary but he progresses to 63 not out.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 12 April

    Harris c Broad b Weatherall 43 (Lancs 128-3 v Northants 496)

    Out of nowhere! Magnificent catch!

Marcus Harris had been batting sublimely, smoking Raphy Weatherall for two fours in the over through cover and mid wicket to move into the 40s.

But now he leans into a flick to square leg with his back foot off the ground and a diving Justin Broad takes an absolute bullet inches off the turf.

We have a night-watchman or is that night hawk these days?

Anderson Phillip is going to have a bat with less than 15 minutes of play remaining.

Wide of off stump and nudged away behind square off a thick outside edge for a single to reach a battling half century.

117 balls with eight fours and a six.

  19. 'Decision not to enforce is interesting'published at 17:39 British Summer Time 12 April

    Yorkshire 456 & 11-0 v Worcs 162

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

It's an interesting one. If I were a Worcestershire batter I'd probably be quite relieved they have not enforced the follow-on.. you've got a chance to get your head together rather than be back out there again against the same bowlers.

That said I can understand why they have done it, but with the potential for a bit of rain, maybe on Monday, I wonder whether it would have been good to get stuck in tonight.

if they'd have got two or three out tonight it would have moved the game on a lot further than it's going to be.

  20. Postpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 12 April

    Lancs 116-2 v Northants 496

Keaton Jennings is back to Calvin Harrison, who gets the ball to spin back in outside off and the LBW shout is turned down. Too high.

Another one slides just past the edge of the bat and Keaton Jennings is stuck on 49 as he gives the bowler a respectful nod.
