Two more fours for Pant off Bashir, cutting through backward point and beating the diving Brydon Carse, then lashing the ball through mid-wicket.

Bashir will take heart from the fact he's been the one to dismiss Pant on the last three occasions in this series.

England, unlike what we've seen in the first few Tests, have continued to chip away at that wicket column early on.

  11. Ind 118-3published at 35 overs

A ball-related day before Bashir's second over as England check its shape - it passes the test for now.

Pant then sweeps for his first boundary, before we get another delay as ground staff come on to firm up the pitch on the crease line.

We've had 64.3 overs today, after 83 yesterday, and have a little over half an hour before the close.

That's blown the game proper wide open. England to snatch two more before end of play and end truly on top. Woakes to get Pant next, mark my words.

What a crucial over with a big wicket. Just what you need to lift the team, if it did need lifting, as you enter the last phase of day two.

Poor Tim in Cambridge (17:41)… he’ll be regretting that one.. unless he is a firm believer of tempting fate! I think the latter..

Thanks to Tim in Cambridge (17:41) for that wicket! Hope you’re enjoying Wimbledon.

Out walks Rishabh Pant, who was off the field with a finger injury for much of England's innings - from 34.1 overs to the close on 112.3, to be precise.

The India wicketkeeper scored twin hundreds at Headingley before scores of 25 and 65 at Edgbaston.

He gets off the mark with a single through point, before KL Rahul picks up three in a similar area.

That has perhaps opened the game up a bit now. You get the wicket of the number one guy. To see the back of him, absolutely delighted.

India have lost the big wicket who has been the central piece of their batting.

A huge wicket there. It might be the defining moment once this game is over because Gill has been a thorn for England.

The law of averages finally catching up with him.

'Absolute beauty!' - Woakes gets the crucial wicket of India captain Shubman Gill

    An absolutely huge wicket.

There'll be no big score for Shubman Gill on this occasion as Chris Woakes removes the India captain.

A bit of a defensive push at Woakes' delivery which finds the edge and is taken by Jamie Smith, who's standing fairly close to the stumps.

That could be a match-defining dismissal.

And indeed that is the end of Jofra Archer's spell - here's Shoaib Bashir for his first over of the match.

He starts with a maiden to KL Rahul.

Feels like England will struggle here against a very good India batting line up and get bowled out cheaply with Bumrah and Jadeja running riot on day 4.

Calling it now. We won't be taking any more wickets tonight. Switching over to Wimbledon.
