Chappell bowls a slightly wider line and Davies leaves the ball.

He's beaten outside off to see out the maiden over.

Poor old Les du Plooy is hobbling again. He was struck on the foot, the same foot and he knew he was out.

    Derbyshire 472 v Middlesex 315 & 191-3 f/o

Short from Blair Tickner and Leus du Plooy pulls round the corner for one.

That ball didn't bounce as much as he expected but the shot is still well controlled, turning the ball down into the ground.

Single to Ryan Higgins to backward square.

Another short ball, from round the wicket is pulled to deep square by Du Plooy for one as the field is set deep.

This could be a short spell for Tickner, who is really bending his back into a diet of brisk bumpers, and he falls over in his follow through to end the over.
