  1. Division Two updatepublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 24 May

Daniel Bell-Drummond clips Zak Chappell for four and Kent are 41-1 in the 12th over after Derbyshire declared on 587-5.

No joy since the resumption for Glamorgan, with Middlesex 47-1 in reply to their 383 all out.

Leicestershire now have Peter Handscomb and Ian Holland together and have reached 309-4 in the 74th over against Lancashire.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 24 May

    Carson lbw b Fuller 16 (Hants 154 v Sussex 296-7)

Not much dispute about that as it fires down the off stump channel and pins Jack Carson on his back pad.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hameed c Duke b Thompson 33 (Yorks 159 v Notts 228 & 73-1)

Jordan Thompson gets one to rip up off the pitch, it catches Haseeb Hameed by surprise and he can't get his bat out of the way in time.

The ball takes the edge high up on the Notts opener's bat and Yorkshire have a much needed breakthrough

    Breaking

England have beaten Zimbabwe by an innings and 45 runs in the Test match at Trent Bridge.

Spinner Shoaib Bashir was the star of Zimbabwe's second innings, taking 6-81.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hill c Hurst b Hartley 119 (Leics 295-4 v Lancs 206)

Lewis Hill can restore his partnership with Rehan Ahmed but it will be over a cup of tea in the pavilion after he edges an attempted backfoot cut behind.

Sharp work from Matty Hurst who give Tom Hartley a second wicket of the day and the Leics innings.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 24 May

    Raine c Abell b Henry 9 (Durham 105-7 & 277 v Somerset 172)

Another Durham batter comes and goes.

Ben Raine uncomfortably pulls Matt Henry for four then, next ball, slaps him straight to Tom Abell at short cover.

It's a much better looking stroke than the pull but he hasn't kept it down.

The lead is beyond 200 now at 210 as wicket number 14 goes down.

    Might be over today this...

  7. Out? Yes... er no.published at 15:28 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants 154 v Sussex 292-6

Bit of confusion here as John Simpson appears to be caught at slip off the bowling of Liam Dawson with the Sussex skipper initially walking.

He is on 104 at the time but he pauses as the umpires get together and questions whether they are giving him out.

After a short consultation it is as you were with the two officials deciding it probably jammed into the ground before springing up to slip.

Not too much annoyance from the close fielders who, you suspect, felt that was the most likely scenario.

  8. 200 lead for Durhampublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham 277 & 99-6 v Somerset 172

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Andy Umeed took a great catch in the gully to remove Ollie Robinson for 33 a few moments ago.

His 52 in the first innings remains the highest score in the game and I am fairly convinced this one will be over today.

Durham are 99-6 but now lead Somerset by 204 runs and in a low-scoring epic, that may well already be enough.

  9. 'Difficult for the batters'published at 15:26 British Summer Time 24 May

    Worcs 181 v Warwicks 227

    Kevin Howells
    BBC Test Match Special commentator

There were a few runs added there to the end, all important, but it's difficult for the batters with the conditions overhead as well.

I just reiterate that, certainly this morning, it was just most wonderful bowling.

I was feeling sorry for the batters at times.

  10. wicket

WICKET - Worcestershire 181 all out at teapublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 24 May

    Allison b Webster 11 (Worcestershire 181 v Warwickshire 227)

    A mow and a miss.

    Worcestershire all out.

Ben Allison tries to hit the ball somewhere over the Cathedral but misses and Beau Webster knocks him over to pick up his second wicket.

The Pears lose all 10 wickets for 118 after being 63-0 this morning.

The Bears have a lead of 46.

    Might be crucial.

The players will now take tea.

  11. 100 runs

100 for Simpsonpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants 154 v Sussex 285-6

Sussex skipper John Simpson has his hundred and it has taken 207 balls and contained 14 fours.

  12. Postpublished at 7.5 overs

    Surrey 279 v Essex 217 & 33-0

    Paul WalterImage source, Rex Features

Sam Curran finds the edge of Paul Walter's bat but it falls well short of Dom Sibley at second slip.

Walter takes a single from the next delivery and moves to 27 not out before Dean Elgar runs one down to third man for his first boundary.

  13. Division Two updatepublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 24 May

Kent have lost their first wicket at Derby with Joe Denly edging a drive off Zak Chappell to second slip - they are 29-1 after eight overs, replying top the home side's 587-5 declared.

Gloucestershire are 30-0 in the 13th over against Northants, who were earlier bowled out for 469.

Middlesex are now 29-1 in the ninth against Glamorgan following an extended rain delay - Max Holden is 18 not out.

  14. Postpublished at 6.1 overs

    Surrey 279 v Essex 217 & 23-0

For a player of Dean Elgar's experience, that was a very poor shot.

He doesn't move his feet as Nathan Smith's first ball of a new over beats the inside edge and just misses the stumps.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 24 May

    Robinson c Umeed b Pretorius 33 (Durham 88-6 & 277 v Somerset 172)

    Somerset's roll getting bigger.

But they're helped by a poor stroke from Ollie Robinson.

It's fend away from his body straight to Andy Umeed at gully. It's going at a fair lick and it's well held but it's not a great shot.

It was a real contrast to the one he played to the ball before - a glorious cover drive for four.

Durham making a bit of a mess of this.

Their lead is 193 but they'd have wanted a lot more.

  16. 50 runs

50 up for Nottspublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 24 May

    Yorks 159 v Notts 228 & 53-0

Haseeb Hameed cuts Jordan Thompson for a second four in the over and, before you know it, Notts are up to 50 without loss.

The lead is 122 already and you would think that any lead over 200 would be challenging in the extreme for Yorkshire.

The game is now and Yorks have to take some wickets or it will slip from their grasp.

  17. Latest from Cardiffpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 24 May

    Glamorgan 383 v Middlesex 24-1

It was only a short shower at Sophia Gardens so we do now have a resumption. Luke Hollman drives Timm van der Gugten for four to open his account.

  18. Postpublished at 4.1 overs

    Surrey 279 v Essex 217 & 17-0

Dan Worrall is off the field at the moment so Nathan Smith will bowl the fifth over of Essex's second innings.

Paul Walter tucks him away for a single - he has all of Essex's 17 runs so far.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 24 May

    Taylor c Yates b Webster 10 (Worcestershire 162-9 v Warwickshire 227)

Beau Webster catches one then takes the next wicket.

Tom Taylor tries to go over the top but doesn't connect as he'd like and he chips a catch to Rob Yates at mid-on.

The Bears are heading for a handy first-innings lead here.

  20. Kashif Ali wicket 'extra painful'published at 15:04 British Summer Time 24 May

    Worcs 151-8 v Warwicks 227

    Kevin Howells
    BBC Test Match Special commentator

It is an extra painful dismissal when you look at the height of Beau Webster.

After all the work Kashif Ali's put in, he will be gutted with that one.

All that work, it had to be second slip and it had to Beau Webster at seven ft six - that shouldn't be allowed!
