Summary

  1. Pak 146-7published at 17 overs

    Need 38 from 18 balls

    Expertly done.

Just six singles from the over.

  2. Pak 143-7published at 16.3 overs

Having taken that stunner, Chris Jordan has now got to bowl the tough overs.

He starts well, though. Just three runs from the first three balls.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16 overs

    Iftikhar c Jordan b Topley 23 (Pak 140-7)

But that won't help! Topley strikes back.

Iftikhar tries to repeat the six but it flies high into the air off a leading edge. And when I say high, it's gone miles.

Chris Jordan has an absolute age to get settled underneath it but it's swirling in the wind, a very tough catch. But he makes no mistake, and that's a crucial breakthrough.

  4. 6 runs

    Pak 140-6published at 15.5 overs

My word. Iftikhar Ahmed gets down on one knee and slog sweeps Reece Topley for an almighty six.

    They haven't given up...

  5. Pak 134-6published at 15.4 overs

    Oh, dear.

Reece Topley nails his wide yorker, bowling perfectly to his field as the ball flies to Jonny Bairstow at third man.

But it's straight through his legs for a costly four.

England are in the driving seat, however what we have seen with Imad Wasim and Iftikhar Ahmed, they've gained that momentum. The last few overs were valuable for Pakistan.

And eventually, Archer finishes his over. It's laughable how talented he is, isn't it?

He nails his yorkers and slower balls as if the injuries had never happened. Pakistan need a tricky 60 from five overs.

And there's a delay, as a spectator runs on to the pitch. Jofra Archer, who has bowled two balls of his over, does not look impressed.

A smile we've waited a very, very long time to see again!

It's quite noticeable in Pakistan's game that there's patches where they make quite a few mistakes. Around that, they've played really good cricket across the game but how deep can they take it, what can the lower order bring?

  11. 6 runs

    Pak 119-6published at 14 overs

    Target 184

    Iftikhar's turn!

Straight down the ground this time and Pakistan have not given up on this.

Imad Wasim is watching a different game to everyone else, as casual as you like smashing it over for six.

  13. 6 runs

    Pak 111-6published at 13.3 overs

    Oh, that's lovely.

A shimmy down the pitch from Imad Wasim and he clips Adil Rashid for an effortless six.

  14. Pak 101-6published at 13 overs

    Target 184

Imad Wasim joins Iftikhar Ahmed in the middle.

Both capable batters but have a big task on their hands. 83 needed from the final seven overs.

England are massively in the driving seat here.

Livingstone knew he was trying to smash it, Zaman hitting it the same when he should've gone wider.

What a brilliant innings, he's been able to keep Pakistan in the game.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12.4 overs

    Fakhar c Brook b Livingstone 45 (Pak 100-6)

He tries once too many, and the wheels are coming off for Pakistan.

Smart bowling from Livingstone, who throws one a little wider because of Fakhar Zaman's strength in hitting straight. He tries to repeat the six, but skews it high up into the air, Harry Brook runs in from long-off and makes no mistake.

    England are on the charge.

I think somebody has upset Fakhar Zaman.

    He keeps smashing it.

  18. 6 runs

    Pak 99-5published at 12.2 overs

    Oh, huge.

Wickets are falling around him but Fakhar Zaman is not bothered. He launches Liam Livingstone's second ball straight down the ground and into the stands.

  19. Pak 92-5published at 12 overs

    Target 184

Iftikhar Ahmed has carved a reputation as Pakistan's great finisher but he's in a little too early for their liking here.

And Jofra Archer finishes with a sharp bouncer, a pleasing sight for all England supporters. He's getting up to 90mph and has a wicket and one run from his second over, having gone for 15 from his first.

    Good signs...

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11.1 overs

    Azam c Moeen b Archer 11 (Pak 91-5)

And even more so, now. Azam Khan chips it straight to cover, a soft dismissal, but Jofra Archer won't care. It's his first England wicket for over a year and the smile says it all.
