Pakistan have managed to climb their way back into this game.

It was a really important stage of the game when Fakhar Zaman came in and they couldn't have asked for more from him.

  2. Pak 64-2published at 7 overs

    Target 184

Chris Jordan's quiet start to his first over gives me a chance to catch my breath, but Babar Azam spoils it by edging the last ball past Jos Buttler for four more.

Jordan and Babar share a joke at the end of it, but I suspect the bowler's smile was more of a grimace.

Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam have led an entertaining fightback since the loss of Pakistan's second wicket.

    Pak 55-2published at 6 overs

    Target 184

Not the comeback over that Jofra may have envisioned!

Fakhar Zaman uses all the pace and ramps it over his shoulder for the first six of the innings. What a beauty - he has 27 from just eight balls.

After a shaky start, that's a decent powerplay from the visitors.

  5. Pak 49-2published at 5.4 overs

    And Fakhar Zaman keeps going!

A lovely pick-up shot is clipped through mid-wicket for another boundary.

Babar has no interest where Jofra Archer is in his career right now, he's got his mind set on hitting the ball to the boundary.

  7. Pak 44-2published at 5.2 overs

Nope, Babar Azam is not having any of it.

The crowd chants Jofra's name but the Pakistan skipper silences them by launching him straight back down the ground for four.

    That was glorious.

  8. Pak 40-2published at 5.1 overs

Like he'd never been away! Bang on the money, defended straight back to him.

    And here he is!

    Jofra Archer is back.

  10. Pak 40-2published at 5 overs

    Target 184

    And there it is.

Babar Azam with some more classy timing, threading it through the covers for four more.

Pakistan are just starting to find their groove at the end of the powerplay.

  11. Pak 34-2published at 4.2 overs

Babar Azam sweeps for three, before Fakhar Zaman goes one step further and hammers the next ball to the ropes.

Fakhar's got an important role to play here. If he can keep finding the boundary, it'll take a lot of pressure off Babar and allow him to get settled before he has to go for it.

Moeen Ali gave England the perfect start, so he's going to bowl a third over in the powerplay.

Quite a smart option, he's seen that Topley's bowling with length, stepped into line and shovelled it over his shoulder, smart batting. Hopefully they can get a few more to create some momentum in the powerplay.

  14. Pak 27-2published at 4 overs

    Target 184

Blimey, what an end to the over.

Topley bowls a wide and Fakhar makes the most of the extra ball, skipping down the pitch and absolutely nailing it through mid-wicket for four.

    That was crunched.

  15. Pak 22-2published at 3.5 overs

    Target 184

    Ha, nothing lucky about this.

Fakhar Zaman scoops Reece Topley over his shoulder for four. The audacity second ball!

  16. Pak 18-2published at 3.4 overs

    Ooooh! It's all happening.

A leading edge skews over Moeen Ali at slip and Fakhar Zaman gets off the mark with a lucky four.

England are all over Pakistan here, great delivery from Topley, Ayub just smacked it and Phil Salt just makes his way there, took it with ease. It feels like Pakistan are miles behind.

    Ayub c Salt b Topley 2 (Pak 14-2)

But Topley strikes next ball! The short stuff does the trick.

Saim Ayub was getting a little frustrated, having made two from just seven balls. He tries to whack it out of the ground but picks out Phil Salt on the square leg boundary.

    Pakistan's powerplay struggles continue.

  19. Pak 14-1published at 3.2 overs

    Nearly!

Babar skews one up in the air off a Reece Topley short ball, but it plops over the head of Chris Jordan at mid-on.

If he can't get there, no one can.

Really impressive from Moeen Ali, he's playing around and has kept the batters rooted to their crease, really good start from England.
