Just the one wicket for Pakistan, Imad Wasim got Phil Salt with his first ball.

The left-arm spinner is continuing now...

  2. Eng 87-1published at 9 overs

England are getting after Shadab Khan so far.

Jos Buttler crashes the ball through the off-side for the first of three boundaries in the over.

He follows it up with a reverse sweep that also runs away before crunching a cut through point.

Another big over for the home side.

Really impressed watching Imad Wasim bowl, angling the ball is what he does really well and the change in pace was noticeable, they're going to need these sort of skills in the World Cup as the surfaces will be different.

  4. Eng 70-1published at 8 overs

    Excellent from Imad Wasim.

The left-arm spinner forces a couple of plays and misses from Will Jacks as he ties down the right-hander for a few balls.

    Just three from the over.

  5. 6 runs

    Eng 67-1published at 7 overs

That's a biggie from Jos Buttler!

Almost a sweep shot technique but the England skipper manages to launch the ball high over long-on into the stand!

England average 54-55 in the powerplay, they are in line with that today at 53.

  7. Eng 57-1published at 6.1 overs

Four from the first ball after the powerplay.

Tossed up by Shadab Khan, there is a touch of width as well and Jos Buttler goes after it.

He slices it somewhat but that just keeps the ball spinning away from the boundary-rider.

  8. Eng 53-1published at 6 overs

Both Jos Buttler and Will Jacks are keen to get after the returning Mohammad Amir.

Good fielding had denied England a boundary early in the over but a short, wide ball ends the powerplay and Jacks isn't about to miss out.

Slapped through the covers for four.

A lot of half volleys from Pakistan early on but in England you've got to use the pitch.

  10. Eng 44-1published at 5 overs

    Jacks 16, Buttler 15

An expensive over from Haris Rauf and Will Jacks powers on.

After the timing shown in hitting that six, it is more brute force for the next two boundaries.

Neither struck cleanly but one trickles to the rope at mid-wicket, the next spins away down to deep third.

England can afford to keep attacking due to the depth of the batters in their squad.

    Eng 34-1published at 4.2 overs

    Glorious from Will Jacks!

In the slot from Haris Rauf and it's stand and deliver from the England batter.

He effortlessly lofts it high over straight long-on for the first six of the day.

  13. Eng 27-1published at 4 overs

Will Jacks is the new batter for England and is off the mark with a single.

It's an excellent over from Imad Wasim, just two singles from it plus the wicket of Phil Salt.

I had a feeling Phil Salt was going to go for that, the ball just came up a little bit higher than he expected, he wasn't set up properly and Pakistan capitalised off it.

    Salt c Shaheen b Imad 13 (Eng 25-1)

    Imad Wasim strikes first ball!

It's not a great ball but it does the trick.

Dragged down by the spinner, Phil Salt pulls it but the timing is off and Shaheen Afridi runs around from deep mid-wicket to take an excellent catch.

  16. Postpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 25 May

Early change of bowling and it's a change of pace.

Still left-arm but spin rather than seam as Imad Wasim comes into the attack.

This is were Shaheen Shah Afridi lets himself down a little bit, almost every delivery so far has been in the batsman's half, it's a little bit predictable now, he's been on the circuit for years so people know what to expect from him.

  18. Eng 25-0published at 3 overs

    Four more!

It's Jos Buttler this time, giving himself room before driving back down the ground.

Again, not timed but the ball still runs away to the fence.

And another! Muscled past mid-on this time.

  19. Eng 16-0published at 2.1 overs

No real timing from Phil Salt but he has the power to get the ball up and over mid-on for four!

  20. Postpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 25 May

Impressive start from the experienced Mohammad Amir, angling the ball across the two right-handers.
