Summary

  1. Aus 79-2published at 9.5 overs

    Target 141

David Warner is back in touch after hardly facing a ball since coming back out.

A shorter ball this time and Warner pulls it for a one-bounce four.

Like Maxwell's, that should help the cause.

  2. Aus 74-2published at 9.1 overs

    Target 141

A lovely shot from Glenn Maxwell finds four, Australia's first boundary since the rain delay.

Crunched through the covers off the bowling of Mustafizur Rahman, that should help settle any nerves that have crept into this Australia side.

  4. Aus 70-2published at 9 overs

    Target 141

There is such a different feel to this match ever since the restart from the rain delay.

Australia have hardly scored and lost two quick wickets in the process.

Rishad has been magnificent and I hope some franchise teams are paying attention to this young man.

Marsh lbw b Rishad Hossein 1 (Aus 69-2) Target 141

    Marsh is gone!

A good decision by the umpire.

Hitting the stumps on umpire's call and that is all Bangladesh needed to get rid of Australia's captain.

Two wickets in as many overs for Rishad Hossein.

It's Marsh's captain's prerogative to have a second look but I think it looked good at first sight.

  8. Australia reviewpublished at 8.5 overs

    Aus 69-1 (Target 141)

Potentially a second wicket for Bangladesh.

Marsh is trapped on the pads and the finger goes up.

    He takes it upstairs.

Bangladesh tend not to pick leg-spinners because of their plethora of left-arm spinners but Rishad has forced his way into the team through his batting and it's only going to benefit Bangladesh.

It's been a good period for Bangladesh after the rain break.

  11. Aus 66-1published at 8 overs

    Target 141

Mahedi Hasan completes his final over and just one single is taken from it.

In the 10 balls since the restart, Australia are 2-1 and this could well be the game changer Bangladesh so desperately needed.

You wonder if the rain has given Bangladesh time to regroup and taken the plug out of Australia's aggression.

  13. Aus 65-1published at 7 overs

    Target 141

Just six runs come from that over that took around half an hour to complete, thanks to the weather.

Australia's rhythm has certainly been disrupted and the surface is undoubtedly due to effect the condition of the ball as this innings goes on.

Rishad is the only player the Australia team won't have seen much of - it's nice to see a leg-spinner in the wickets.

    A breakthrough for Bangladesh!

Runs have been tough to come by since the restart. Travis Head's first ball after the break is his last. Bowled by Rishad Hossein in his first over with the ball.

That wicket ends the 65-run partnership and brings out captain Mitchell Marsh.

Travis Head and David Warner are taking to the field again, as are Bangladesh, and play is about to resume in Antigua.

Around a 25-minute delay but hopefully, that is all.

No overs have been lost, yet, either.

    Good news!

It looks like we could be due a fairly imminent restart in Antigua.

The covers are off, there is no rain and providing it stays dry, we should hopefully be back underway shortly.

The news from the middle is that the covers remain firmly on in Antigua, although I think those in the stadium are optimistic that play will resume in some capacity.

Bangladesh never had to come out of their comfort zone and, if I'm honest, they were lucky to get through their group.

In the Super 8s stage, this is where they are potentially going to get exposed with a lack of six-hitters and death bowlers.

And the covers are back on the field once again...

There are two bits of good news for Australia though.

One, if play does resume and overs are lost, they are 29 runs ahead of the DLS par score after 6.2 overs.

Two, because both teams have batted for five overs each, there will be a result.
