Excellent decision - there's no way he'd have reviewed it if it was given out.

  2. Not outpublished at 11:26 British Summer Time

    Aus 26-0

It's missing the top of middle by centimetres! Good call by the umpire, a confident leave by Short...

I don't think anything gets a fielding side more excited than no shot offered. It doesn't happen all that often in ODIs.

  4. England reviewpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time

    Aus 26-0

Short plays no shot and hits the back pad. The umpire says not out and England review - it looks close and he's a way back...

Crunched! Pull shot, leaning back and he sends it soaring!

  6. 6 runs

    Aus 26-0published at 5.1 overs

Bang! Matthew Short rocks back and lifts Olly Stone into the Western Terrace, reaching about six rows from the back!

  7. Aus 20-0published at 5 overs

Head takes aim at mid-wicket with a slog - no other word for it - but the edge goes to the boundary at third with just one bounce.

  8. 6 runs

    Aus 16-0published at 4.3 overs

That's more like it! Potts pitches up and Head goes long and straight into advertising boards behind the bowler.

  9. Aus 10-0published at 4.2 overs

Travis Head is trying to carry on from Thursday, but another swipe outside off, to Matthew Potts, doesn't connect and scoots through low to Jamie Smith.

  10. Aus 9-0published at 3.4 overs

Short doesn't look to be quite 'there' just yet, and Stone is bowling well - the opener slashes wildly outside off stump and misses, getting off strike with a leg-bye two balls later

  11. Aus 8-0published at 3 overs

Matthew Potts concedes just one from his second over, a tentative prod from Matthew Short goes past the slips to third.

A rare appearance in 50-over cricket for Olly Stone. In the last six years, he's played just four List A matches, and all of them overseas internationals - today is his home ODI debut. His last domestic match was for Warwickshire in June 2018.

  13. Aus 7-0published at 2 overs

That's a nice take from Jamie Smith as Stone's fourth delivery brushes Head's pads down the leg side. The keeper dives and takes it one-handed - is there anything this fella gets wrong at the moment?

The next ball cuts through Head's defences over the top of off - good start from Stone.

The slips are a long way back, it's noticeable. Too far, I feel.

  15. Aus 6-0published at 1.1 overs

Matthew Potts gifts Australia another with a legside wide, with Head looking irked he didn't stick it away for more.

Olly Stone comes down the hill for the second over, and his first is excellent - quick, pitched up and Short edges it just short of Brook at first slip.

  16. Aus 5-0published at 0.4 overs

Short nudges a single, putting Travis Head on strike and he's off in the same vein as the other night, effortlessly pushing one off his legs through mid-wicket to the boundary.

  17. Aus 0-0published at 0.1 overs

It's outside off stump and Short pushes him into the covers.

Righto, Matthew Potts is taking the first over and Matthew Short will take the first ball. Here we go...

It looks to be brightening up a bit at Headingley - don't forget, the ground still has its reputation for the ball nibbling about a bit but more often than not it's a good batting deck.

Anyway, the mascots with flags are out and the umpires will be on their way very soon as the stands fill up.

Harry Brook's comments in the wake of that seven wicket loss on Thursday have caused a bit of a stir - Sir Alistair Cook thinks Brook "might cringe" at such comments in future.
