One of these has got to get on with it. For me, Nat Sciver-Brunt is going to have to go the whole innings. I'd much rather Emma Lamb be the aggressor in this situation.

  2. Eng 47-2published at 14 overs

Another lbw appeal and pure desperation from Radha Yadav in her appeal, but umpire Rob White is having none of it.

The pressure isn't easing on England at all, though.

  3. Not outpublished at 13.2 overs

    Good call, Alex.

Missing leg stump and Sciver-Brunt survives.

It's got to be missing leg, it feels like it is.

    It's a great delivery but I don't think it's out.

  5. India reviewpublished at 13.2 overs

This would be bad news for England.

Sciver-Brunt misses a sweep, it's not given on the field, but India know the value of her wicket so they send it upstairs.

Slowly, England are just starting to put a partnership together but the run-rate is already getting out of hand.

They need a few more of these - and then some - from their skipper.

    Andy Zaltzman

Sneh Rana's 16 dot balls at the start of her spell is the most consecutive dots by an individual bowler at the start of an innings v England in women's ODIs since 2012 (Veda Krishnamurthy's first 19 balls were dots at Taunton, also for India).

  8. Eng 38-2published at 12 overs

    Target 319

Still, we all know Nat Sciver-Brunt's class and if England are going to prove a point here, she holds the key.

She sweeps Sneh Rana for four as the spinner errs in line down the leg side.

A streaky boundary for Emma Lamb as she edges Sree Charani's first ball down to deep third for four.

It should've been saved by Radha Yadav, who makes up plenty of ground but fails to haul it inside the ropes. She berates herself too, furious with the mistake.

    There's the difference...

Nat Sciver-Brunt has just passed 4,000 ODI runs. She's the fastest England player to get there.

    Got there in the end!

Nat Sciver-Brunt drills one through the covers for four as Sneh Rana finally concedes a run after 2.4 overs.

But the skipper still looks relaxed, sharing a laugh with Emma Lamb as they bump gloves in the middle, despite being 22-2 in the powerplay.

At the moment India are in control of this game. England's run-rate is abysmal considering they're chasing over 300.

  13. Eng 18-2published at 9 overs

    Target 319

Just the one from Goud's latest, as she has 2-12 from five overs now.

Emma Lamb has six from 23 balls and Sciver-Brunt has three from 22.

There was a period just after the powerplay where India's batters consolidated after losing two wickets, but they had the platform of 64 from the openers. They are all over England here.

India's finish to their batting innings would've given them lots of confidence and they've just carried through that momentum into their bowling.

  15. Eng 17-2published at 8 overs

    Target 319

Two overs, two maidens for Sneh Rana.

    England are going nowhere.

That's probably the best bit of fielding we've seen all day.

  17. Eng 17-2published at 7 overs

    Target 319

And India continue to set the standard in the field.

Nat Sciver-Brunt finally gets one out of the middle and drives crisply, but a diving Jemimah Rodrigues intercepts at cover and has to send the England skipper hurrying back into her crease.

    Eng 15-2

Oooh! Emma Lamb misses a cut and edges behind to Richa Ghosh, who is standing up to the spinner so it's a sharp chance, but one that should be taken.

Still, a maiden from Sneh Rana keeps plenty of pressure on England.
