Summary

  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 31.2 overs

    Healy b Dean 70 (Aus 164-5)

Now then. Charlie Dean strikes just as the game was starting to drift decisively into Australia's hands.

The delivery is nothing special. Full-ish and straight.

In truth, Alyssa Healy has yorked herself as she skipped down the pitch and is bowled.

  2. Aus 164-4published at 31 overs

There's no joy for Bell throughout the rest of her over, despite forcing a false shot from Ash Gardner.

    The Aussies are closing in.

It's as if England need an extra fielder today with the way that Alyssa Healy has been batting.

She doesn't have to do much, she just gets herself into a good position and uses the pace of the ball to drive it away.

  4. Aus 163-4published at 30.3 overs

Lauren Bell took a remarkably economical 1-6 in five overs in her first spell but now sees the second delivery of her second race across the turf for four.

Alyssa Healy's timing has been superb today.

Nat Sciver-Brunt hasn't looked good today. It was as though she couldn't get into her rhythm which is a shame as we were looking forward to seeing what she would bring for England.

    The shot of the day?

    Probably this from Ash Gardner...

  7. Aus 159-4published at 30 overs

Need 46 more runs to win

Here's a big appeal from Charlie Dean after she fires the ball onto Ash Gardner's pads.

England have rattled through all of their reviews so cannot challenge the not out decision.

Thankfully it would have missed leg stump anyway.

  8. Aus 153-4published at 29 overs

    Healy 64, Gardner 16

I can confirm Rich asking Ffion to toughen up has not gone down well.

Sophie Ecclestone, meanwhile, bowls a tidy maiden to Alyssa Healy before her skipper comes in for a chat.

Where is the wicket coming from?

Lauren Filer punished after England dropped catch

England have just slacked slightly. They had a decent start but things like the Alice Capsey drop was sloppy.

They need to get some momentum and drag this game out as much as possible. At the moment it looks too easy for Australia.

  10. Aus 153-4published at 28 overs

Need 52 runs to win from 132 balls

This pair seem to have steered Australia out of those slightly choppy waters that came after the Sutherland wicket.

Gardner helps herself through the leg side when Charlie Dean drops too short.

The clouds are building a little behind one side of the ground and the lights are on too. Rain can't save England from here.

PS the top 10 of everything that can kill you lives in and around Aussie. You might want to toughen up chief. It’s probably more scared of you than you of it.

This capacity crowd applauds now as Alyssa Healy drops the ball into the tiniest of gaps and steals a single from Ecclestone's pocket.

Healy's like the Antipodean Artful Dodger.

  13. 6 runs

    Aus 144-4published at 26.2 overs

Ash Gardner strikes first in this tussle of the team-mates.

She pumps Sophie Ecclestone down the ground for a big six.

Alyssa Healy is playing such a brilliant innings here. She was able to swivel her feet in total control with a short-arm pull to the boundary.

    Exceptional timing from the captain.

  15. Aus 138-4published at 26 overs

Need 67 more runs to win

Sophie Ecclestone has been on the TV player mic throughout this innings. She's certainly keen to take the next wicket with two Sydney Sixers team-mates in.

Again it's the final ball of the over that hurts England as Aussie skipper Healy pulls Lauren Filer to the boundary.

    Australian captain Healy reaches 50

Australia would love their skipper to kill any nervousness in this chase. Healy has played with just 10% false shots so far - the average for the game is 26%. Batting on a different pitch right now

  17. Aus 131-4published at 25 overs

    Target 205

Any advances on a huntsman? Rich might have settled this for us.

On the pitch, Alyssa Healy thrashes four to end Sophie Ecclestone's over and release some of the pressure that was just building.

That spider looks like a Huntsman, the Aussies will be able to tell you for sure. If it is they are harmless.

  19. Aus 126-4published at 24 overs

Need 79 runs from 156 balls

The impressive Filer keeps charging in, getting up over 75mph by the end of the over.

New batter Ash Gardner, who took three wickets with her spin earlier, gets off the mark with a single.

The pace caught Annabel Sutherland out, she was rushed and hit the ball right at the end of her bat which sent it soaring into the air.

England aren't going to defend this total now, they are going to have to bowl out this Australia side.
