Lauren Bell has been working a lot on her technique.

She used to bowl wider of the cease but now she bowls a lot closer to the stumps. That gives her the freedom to bowl both away swing and in-swing which allows her to be more unpredictable.

  2. Aus 53-2published at 10 overs

Spin for the first time today for England as Charlie Dean comes into the attack.

Alyssa Healy has the measure of her thus far, picking off fours by driving through the covers and sweeping all along the carpet.

England will probably bring some spin into play after the powerplay. I would be wanting to bring Sophie Ecclestone in as as soon as possible.

Lauren Bell has a very impressive 1-6 from five overs so far.

A great review from England. Ellyse Perry was dropped early on but thankfully it hasn't been too costly for England.

They have found themselves with two wickets in the powerplay and they are keeping the game alive.

Gone! That is plumb. A big wicket for England and Alice Capsey is very relieved.

A fine piece of bowling by Lauren Ball and the ball-tracking technology backs up the decision to review. England skipper Heather Knight took a little bit of time to be convinced, but that was as out as they come.

"That has to be close", says Sophie Ecclestone.

  8. England reviewpublished at 8.4 overs

Full and swinging from Lauren Bell and it hits Ellyse Perry on the pad as she attempts to work the ball to leg. Given not out. England review.

  9. Aus 43-1published at 8.3 overs

Lauren Filer has 1-37 off four overs. Here's the one in the wicket column.

Lauren Filer has definitely hurried Ellyse Perry on a couple of occasions.

The Aussie batter looks to be back in her groove now, though, working Filer fine for four off the first ball of her fourth over.

Filer has her hands on her head later in the over when an inside edge off Alyssa Healy's brings her a rather streaky boundary.

The Aussie captain is more decisive in the remainder of the over, thought, square driving Filer through point for four then drilling her for another four through the covers.

A costly 19 overs from that over.

That's gutting for England - they've spotted something around Ellyse Perry's approach to the bouncer, and they almost got their reward. There's nothing in the data, given Perry averages 147 against bumpers in ODI cricket.

  13. Aus 24-1published at 7 overs

Australia bat so deep. England cannot afford to squander these types of chances.

Meanwhile, this is an impressive tight spell from Lauren Bell who has conceded just four runs from her four overs so far.

They don't get any easier than that, it went straight at Alice Capsey's throat.

The catching was a problem for England back in the World Cup and it's frustrating that it is still a problem.

    Deary me.

We saw how good Ellyse Perry was in the field for Australia, but England have given her a life here.

A short-ball approach from Lauren Filer is rewarded when Perry sends it skywards to fine leg. The ball goes straight to Alice Capsey, who barely had to move an inch.

    However, she spills it.

To make matters worse Perry hits Filer's next ball for four.

    UltraEdge shows no bat involved.

That was a review more in hope than expectation from Heather Knight.

  17. England reviewpublished at 5.2 overs

    Another review.

This time England take a bit of a punt on a caught behind after Ellyse Perry misses to a short ball from Lauren Filer.

A great review from Healy. You can see that England are clearly putting pressure on Australia and it's game on.

  19. Healy survivespublished at 4.5 overs

Height looked to be an issue, and the ball-tracking technology backs that up.

Alyssa Healy was quite far down the pitch and it struck her above the pads so it felt like the odds were in her favour for that review.

Alyssa Healy immediately reviews! This is a question on height and she must believe that it is going over.
