Manchester Originals made it look easy. Trent Rockets didn't score enough runs, but they have struggled with that all season. The depth in Rockets' batting lineup is what they missed today.

  3. 'We're starting to play our best cricket'published at 17:43 BST 19 August

Manchester Originals' Sophie Ecclestone, talking on BBC Two: "I'm so happy. It's really nice to get that win and then have a few days off now.

"I was really happy when Nat Wraith come down the wicket first ball and there was a spin.

"There's pressure on me to take wickets when it is spinning and bouncing, but I am quite lucky to have Beth Mooney behind the stumps.

"It's not ideal to bowl at Nat Sciver-Brunt because I probably bowl the most to her in the nets so I was very happy to get one up on her.

"We're going towards the end of the tournament playing our best cricket and that is really fun to watch. It is the first year that we've really been in a good position going into the final few games."

  4. 'A frustrating season'published at 17:40 BST 19 August

    Trent Rockets

Trent Rockets captain Ash Gardner, speaking to BBC Two: "It has been a bit of a frustrating season. I felt like we have been in decent positions and then let it slip. I can put it down to a number of things. We are not scoring enough runs. That's the obvious thing.

"I don't have any words to describe the last couple of games. It has been pretty disappointing.

"It is tough to keep everyone excited to come to training and keep working on things. For our girls there is a mix of experience - that is the beauty of this competition.

"We have not had the perfect game to put all three things together, which is pretty disappointing."

    Manchester Originals

Manchester Originals' Kathryn Bryce, speaking to BBC Two: "Absolutely delighted.

"To be able to contribute with the ball first and then the bat to get us over the line.

"We knew it was going a little bit, so assessing right-hand and left-hand and taking on the good options for us."

On opening the batting: "Really enjoyed it. Quite nice to go out there with one of the best players [Beth Mooney] in the world - that takes the pressure off.

"Sometimes with the schedule you move on to the next game. That helps you get over the highs and lows. You take the good and the bad from it.

"We knew there was a lot more to come from us. It is good at the back end of the tournament to get a good run."

Sophie Ecclestone is named player of the match for her figures of 2-12.

Kathryn Bryce, who took 2-19 and scored 61 not out from 45 balls, may feel a little hard done by but that is a cracking win for the Originals with contributions all around.

They're building good momentum as we approach the back end of the group stage.

I really love Manchester Originals' bowling unit.

The old adage, batting wins you games, but bowling wins you championships.

Slightly surprising that Alana King bowled as late as she did. The game was almost done.

At the end, you saw how much turn she was getting. She should have bowled earlier.

    As easy as you like!

Kathryn Bryce sweeps Heather Graham for four more and seals a crucial win for the Manchester Originals with 18 balls to spare.

A fourth defeat in five games for Trent Rockets, though, who are really struggling for form.

We had five century opening stands in the first two seasons of the women's Hundred. This is the first one in the past three seasons.

    Originals 109-0

Alana King continues, and almost has a consolation wicket.

It's a tough chance, crunched straight back at her by Beth Mooney, but it ricochets off her wrist and the batters scuttle through for another run.

And of course, two balls later, Mooney drives beautifully for four.

Kathryn Bryce has batted really well. One of the best innings that I have seen her play so far. She has dominated today.

    Need 14 to win

Oooh, there is that sharp turn and bounce for Alana King.

She completely deceives Kathryn Bryce, who is just able to keep her foot behind the line and avoid being stumped.

This is now the highest opening partnership this season for any team in the women's competition.

Only twice has a team won with 10 wickets to spare in the history of this competition, the last of which was back in 2022 by Southern Brave against Trent Rockets.

You would expect Beth Mooney to get to 50 first, but it is Kathryn Bryce's highest score in the Hundred competition so far, and she is not finished yet.

A fine 36-ball half-century from Kathryn Bryce, who is leading Manchester Originals to a comprehensive win.

She comfortably wins the battle of the Scottish players today, helping herself to two boundaries off Kirstie Gordon.

The visiting side need just 15 to win now.

In order to take a wicket, Trent Rockets need to bring fielders in.

Make Manchester Originals play somewhere which they don't want to.

It is too easy at the moment.

    Target 112

Well, I'm not sure where that wicket is coming from.

Kathryn Bryce launches Ash Gardner down the ground for a sumptuous six, followed by a thump for four.

    They're flying towards this target.
