But Mooney is having none of that, with two fours off her Australian counterpart.

A skip down the pitch to the first ball and it's lofted for four, with assistance from Heather Graham who misjudges on the boundary and can only watch the ball spin past her!

The next is pumped over long-on. Originals are in full control of this chase.

I feel like Ash Gardner is a player who loves the big occasions. Hopefully, she can stand up here for the Trent Rockets. She is a crucial player for them.

  3. Originals 18-0published at 85 balls left

    Target 112

A positive start for the Originals, helped by some pretty loose bowling from the Rockets.

Cassidy McCarthy offers too much width and Beth Mooney slashes for four, which is followed by a wide.

Skipper Ash Gardner has to take matters into her own hands, as the off-spinner is into the attack early.

The key here is getting the early wicket of Beth Mooney. She's an unbelievable player and she loves to strike the ball.

  5. Originals 10-0published at 90 balls left

    Target 112

    Oh, beautiful.

No messing about from Beth Mooney, who whips the ball effortlessly through the leg side for her first boundary.

Trent Rockets took the risk with keeping Stonehouse going, but it hasn't paid off.

Over on BBC Two, England off-spinner Shoaib Bashir is part of the punditry line-up.

Bashir said he is "getting there slowly" after breaking his finger during England's Test series against India.

"Everything went smoothly [with the operation] and rehab has gone nicely," said Bashir.

"Hopefully I'll be back bowling soon and then get some competitive cricket."

It's only 94 days until the Ashes gets under way in Australia, and Bashir hopes to be fully-fit for the first Test in Perth.

"I've done a bit of research and done a bit of homework. We are moving in the right direction," added Bashir.

  7. Originals 5-0published at 94 balls left

    Target 112

Just that one run conceded from Stonehouse, so she's going to stick around for 10 in a row.

But it doesn't quite work out - the sixth ball is cut away for four by Kathryn Bryce.

Trent Rockets need to pick up early wickets for there to be any doubt in the Originals batting line-up.

  9. Originals 1-0published at 98 balls left

Bang on the money from Alexa Stonehouse first up, but Beth Mooney is solid in defence.

The second ball is a tad short, and pulled away for the Originals' first run.

4-18 off the last 25 balls of the innings is the second-fewest runs conceded by a team off the last 25 balls this season.

The top three spots are all held by Manchester Originals (5-14 against Welsh Fire and 4-26 against Northern Superchargers being the other instances).

    Hello!

WinViz has the Originals as strong favourites, and another win here would give them plenty of confidence in their quest to secure a top-three spot.

Beth Mooney and Kathryn Bryce are striding to the middle as they begin what should be a pretty straightforward chase.

Two excellent performances from England bowlers, with:Lauren Filer taking 3-23 and Sophie Ecclestone 2-12 for Manchester Originals, while Kathryn Bryce also put in a strong showing with 2-12.

Trent Rockets were under-par, failing to score a boundary after the 74th ball, and will be up against it as Originals chase 112.

Here's Ffion Wynne to take you through the second innings.

'Fantastic work' - Sciver-Brunt is stumped by Mooney

The skill level has to be a certain quality, and Sophie Ecclestone is the highest level there is. The amount of turn she got today was unbelievable.

  14. 'Ecclestone is very skilful'published at 16:20 British Summer Time

Manchester Originals' Melie Kerr on the player mic: “Sophie Ecclestone’s length helps, she is quite tall for a female, and she gets good drift in and has a really good seam position.

“She is very skilful at what she does. I am glad she is in our team.”

Sophie Ecclestone, for me, was the outstanding bowler. She picked up two vital wickets.

    An outstanding performance.

  16. Rockets 111-7published at 100 balls

A big swing from new batter Alexa Stonehouse, but no edge and the innings ends without a Lauren Filer hat-trick.

Still, the seamer finishes with figures of 3-23, her best in The Hundred.

This is a phase of the innings where the Manchester Originals have been very successful. Between balls 76 and 100, they have taken 19 wickets - the most for any team and their economy rate of 5.8 runs per set is also the best.

30 balls ago you would say this game was in the balance, but the Trent Rockets have thrown away that platform.

Not a happy debut for Ellie Threkeld!

The former Manchester Originals wicketkeeper is making her first appearance for Rockets against her former side and she goes first ball, tickling a tiny edge behind to Beth Mooney.

    Lauren Filer on a hat-trick...

Manchester Originals have many options on who can bowl. I wondered whether Lauren Filer would take the pace off the ball, but she has come in and hit the pitch hard.
