  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 98 balls

    King c Smale b Filer 1 (Rockets 111-6)

Alana King miscues high into the air... and taken!

Seren Smale takes the catch at cover, King's attempt at big-hitting hasn't come off in her short innings.

  2. Rockets 109-5published at 95 balls

Kathryn Bryce finishes her 20-ball quota with two dot balls to Alana King, with the Australian batter taking two big swings and misses.

Bryce finishes with figures of 2-19.

The leg cutter from Kathryn Bryce was going to be hard to hit. It is a big boundary on that leg side, but it's a really good catch from Melie Kerr.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 93 balls

    Graham c Kerr b Bryce 8 (Rockets 109-5)

Good catch out in the deep!

Heather Graham, without a boundary, heaves Kathryn Bryce out into the leg side but can only find Melie Kerr, who takes the catch diving forward.

Originals definitely on top as we head towards the end of this innings.

Sophie Ecclestone didn't enjoy a good season in 2024 but has been back to her best this season.

Her average length has moved fuller (closer to the stumps) by almost 40 cm this season compared to the last.

She has also hit a good line and length 39% of the time this season - her highest in any Hundred season.

This season is also the one where she has got the most drift and turn.

I think it will be a par score for Trent Rockets. They're not out of the game, but they have not won the game with the bat in the first innings.

  7. Rockets 106-4published at 90 balls

Lovely second delivery from Melie Kerr, plenty of flight and Jodi Grewcock's outside edge just about keeps the ball out.

Five runs from the set and that's Kerr finished with figures of 0-25.

  8. Rockets 101-4published at 85 balls

A superb final set for Sophie Ecclestone.

The Rockets batters can only take two singles from it, with the first bringing up their hundred.

Ecclestone's done with figures of 2-12 from her 20 balls - an excellent showing.

  9. 'Last 20 balls going to be important'published at 16:01 British Summer Time

    Manchester Originals

Manchester Originals' Melie Kerr on the player mic: "A big wicket [Ash Gardner's].

"They have scored quite freely, but we have managed to pick up wickets at the right time.

"These last 20 balls are going to be important for us."

  10. Rockets 99-4published at 80 balls

Heather Graham strikes her first ball down the ground but Kathryn Bryce does good work on the ropes, tipping the ball back and then throwing in.

    The Rockets batters run three.

I love how Manchester Originals have stuck to their guns.

Ash Gardner tried to hit it over, but she wasn't successful. Another tick in the box for Beth Mooney and the Manchester Originals.

Picking a plan and sticking to it.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 77 balls

    Gardner c Ecclestone b Filer 17 (Rockets 94-4)

    But now Ash Gardner departs!

The Rockets captain mis-times a shot out to long-on off Lauren Filer and Sophie Ecclestone takes a decent catch out in the deep.

A big blow to the home side's chances.

If Trent Rockets can get up to 130, then that would be a good score.

Beautifully and expertly picked by Ash Gardner. Transferring the weight just enough to get her hands through and keeping the ball along the ground.

  15. Rockets 93-3published at 75 balls

Well-timed by Rockets captain Ash Gardner, striking Melie Kerr off the back foot and seeing the ball reach the boundary at point.

Her first four off her 14th ball.

Sophie Ecclestone has got 1.82 degrees of drift today, the most she has got in any match this season so far. She also went almost 5cm wider on her release point for that wicket ball to Sciver-Brunt compared to her previous ball.

  17. Rockets 85-3published at 70 balls

A first four for Jodi Grewcock as Mahika Gaur comes back into the attack.

She thrashes the seamer's second ball through square, finding the gap and getting it over the ropes.

  18. 'Trying to restrict Nat'published at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Manchester Originals

Just before Sophie Ecclestone took the wicket of Nat Sciver-Brunt, Manchester Originals' Melie Kerr on player mic said: "Trying to restrict Nat and hopefully that makes her take a higher risk. Then we can try and squeeze a little bit."

Two seconds later, Sciver-Brunt is walking back to the pavilion...

Ash Gardner and Nat Sciver-Brunt were ticking over the scoreboard. They have faced only three dots between 41-60 balls.

  20. Rockets 78-3published at 65 balls

Jodi Grewcock is the new batter and she plays out three dots to end Sophie Ecclestone's latest set.

Ecclestone now has figures of 2-10 from 15 balls.
