We will be back tomorrow with coverage of England v Bangladesh, but here are some more cricket stories to feast your eyes on between now and then.

  2. 'Great turn around'published at 17:25 BST 6 October

South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt: "It was such an amazing turnaround and something that we knew we were capable off after that first game, so I am glad we put that behind us and were able to bounce back today."

"We had an amazing last 15 we bowled really well. We heave been good for a little while and training that depth has payed off today.

"I think we will enjoy it tonight but like the first game, we have to forget about it because cricket starts at zero and it is quite a big game for us."

On her trending catch on social media: "I am just lucky it stuck. Fielding is something we have been talking about as a group so I am glad that today we could put out a good performance.

On Tazmin Brits: "She is going amazing, it's phenomenal to have her in our training room. I hope she continues to do what she is doing."

  3. 'More pressure on us'published at 17:23 BST 6 October

New Zealand captain Sophie Devine: "I still thought it was a 270 or 280 pitch. We got ourselves into a position to launch then lost wickets and it's hard to have a crack at the back end when you are doing that.

"Credit to South Africa who negated what we threw at them and it's disappointing for us today. I think we have spoken before you have to win games and it puts more pressure on us.

"It's good for us because we know where we stand and what we have to do. We will reflect on this game - there were some things we did well but we know you can't play half a game."

South Africa's bowling attack was spearheaded by spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba.

She finished with 4-40, including one wicket via a superb catch skipper Laura Wolvaardt.

More from Tazmin Brits on her bow-and-arrow celebration after making a hundred: "I put it to the fans! The 50 remains for my dad but this one was for two young girls. They are both from South Africa but one stays in Australia, so that celebration was for them."

  6. 'Backing myself more'published at 17:16 BST 6 October

Player of the match Tazmin Brits of South Africa: "It feel's great I am glad we could pull this one through after the last game."

On making a century: "Funny how I am not one for records but as long as we win the games I am all good. I am just backing myself more and trying to be as positive as I can, we had batting camps that have definitely helped.

"I am going to be as positive as possible and we needed this win. I am glad I netted for all those balls because it is a new bat so that is going to be a lucky bat from now on."

From a New Zealand perspective it was promising to see Brooke Halliday here today and that is a really good sign for them. The next thing they need is for someone like Maddy Green to win games for then.

South Africa have a lot of belief and know that a set back isn't the end of the world.

South Africa, who were hammered in their opening game against England, have got their World Cup up and running and they have a bit of confidence heading into Thursday's match with India.

Back-to-back defeats for New Zealand who have some soul searching to do between now and their meeting with Bangladesh on Friday.

SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY SIX WICKETSpublished at 17:00 BST 6 October

Sune Luus chips Eden Carson over the fielder at extra cover and the ball has just enough on it to reach the boundary to get South Africa over the line.

    They win by six wickets.

I think New Zealand will be disappointed, I do think they are behind in ODI cricket. They won the T20 World Cup last year but they just still really rely on a few players.

  13. SA 229-4published at 40.2 overs

Sune Luus whips Eden Carson into the leg side for a single. Three to win.

  14. SA 228-4published at 40 overs

Sinalo Jafta gets of the mark with a single off Jess Kerr, then later in the over pummels the Kiwi seamer straight down the ground for four.

One hit wins it from here for South Africa.

It has been a good display interspersed with some bad bits too. A lot of dots being eaten up by Sinalo Jafta when you need 10.

  16. SA 222-4published at 39 overs

A fraction short from Melie Kerr and it's punished by Sune Luus who goes deep into the crease and whips her into the leg side for four.

Midway through the over and Luus slog sweeps Kerr to the boundary again.

Just 10 runs needed now for South Africa to wrap this one up.

  17. SA 213-4published at 37 overs

A few wickets falling has slowed down the scoring a little for South Africa. They should still get over the line here barring something truly remarkable.

Anneke Bosch is doing the selfless thing for her team there and I like it. Although going back into the pavilion for zero doesn't look good.

    WICKETpublished at 36.3 overs

    Bosch c Bates b A Kerr 0 (SA 213-4)

Biff, bash and Bosch is caught.

Very little value in South Africa cruising to this total - in terms of net run rate at least - so Anneke Bosch's aggression is understanable.

The South Africa miscues one skywards off the bowling of Melie Kerr and Suzie Bates tumbles backwards to hold to a high one.

  20. SA 212-3published at 36 overs

Inventive stuff from Sune Luus, who deftly paddles a gentle medium pace delivery from Brooke Halliday over the head of wicetkeeper Isabella Gaze for four.

Anneke Bosch is the new batter.

South Africa need 20 runs to wrap up victory here.
