Eden Carson gets a pat on the shoulder, a low five and a tap on the cap for a sprawling stop at backward point. That may well have been four had she not got there.

There's nothing any of the fielders can do later in the over, however, as Jess Kerr, having leaked three more wides, is driven for four by Sune Luus.

It has been a bit Luus from New Zealand.

Good there from Illing, you can tell she is young and raw. There is a lot to like about her and she is going to be a wicket-taker for New Zealand in the future.

    Target 232

That wicket has immediately slowed the scoring. New Zealand are still going to need wickets to do this, you'd think. If South Africa bat 50 overs they should win.

  4. SA 26-1published at 3 overs

    Target 232

Sune Luus is South Africa's number three. She was dismissed for two against England but wasn't alone in struggling.

Huge wicket. Wolvaardt looked good as well. Kerr find the perfect line and length. A delight for New Zealand when they realise how big of a wicket that is.

    Wolvaardt lbw b J Kerr 14 (SA 26-1)

Big wicket. Fair play to Jess Kerr. She had made a shaky start but that's a really good delivery to dismiss Laura Wolvaardt. It swung back in, hit the front pad and would have gone on to hit leg stump.

Big inswinger! Laura Wolvaardt is hit on the pad. The umpire says no. Was it doing too much?

    Sophie Devine wants another look.

This is a stage where you have to bowl with intent otherwise you will be punished.

Lovely and classic Laura Wolvaardt. She sends a cover drive pinging through the covers to heap the pressure back onto Jess Kerr again.

Beautiful timing with a touch of width from Illing.

Runs continue to flow, this time off the bat rather than gift-wrapped presents. Left-armer Bree Illing is sharing this new ball but Tazmin Brits twice times her through the off side.

A good start for the South Africans

  14. SA 9-0published at 1 over

    Target 232

The second half of Jess Kerr's opening over is more accurate than the first but she's still had to run in 10 times there just to get through it because of all of those wides.

  15. SA 7-0published at 0.2 overs

This isn't the start New Zealand were after.

Jess Kerr begins with a leg-side wide, corrects to bowl one on the stumps but then gifts two more freebies - one on the leg and one outside off - before being driven for four.

Seven runs from two legal deliveries...

New Zealand's players have just had a team huddle on the edge of the ground.

That's my cue to hand over to Matthew Henry, who will talk you through the first part of South Africa's chase.

Sophie Devine batted superbly and was probably spying back-to-back centuries before eventually departing for 85.

New Zealand's innings pretty much went to pieces after she was out.
