So ends another horrible innings from Sophia Dunkley who looks hopelessly out of form. What has Danni Wyatt-Hodge got to do to get a chance??

Alana King finishes with 1-20 from her 10 overs. She hasn't conceded a boundary. Stunning.

  5. Eng 168-6published at 40 overs

Charlie Dean has played a number of useful lower-order innings for England at this tournament, with knocks of 27*, 19, 33, and 19*.

They need another one from her today.

    Emma Lamb in 50-over cricket:

    • Opening: 55 inns, Avg 46.0
    • No. 3: 6 inns, Avg 28.8
    • No. 6: 5 inns, Avg 7.2

Lamb is having a poor tournament, but she is being asked to play a role at the highest level, in foreign conditions, which she has never done before.

The pressure told on Sophia Dunkley. You could see her battling about how she wanted to approach her innings and once again England have struggled against the spin.

Dunkley st Mooney b Gardner 22 (Eng 166-6)

Oh dear, oh dear. It's all going wrong for England.

Sophia Dunkley has been stumped by Beth Mooney. She came down to Ash Gardner, completely misread it, spun round in an attempt to get back and ended up flat on her face as the stumps lit up.

England have slumped from 147-3 to 166-6.

England should use the fact the Aussies are joking and laughing whilst playing them as motivation. I don't think Australia are concerned about England at all.

    Roberto

England need to get past 200 to have at least something to try and defend. Hopefully getting a couple early wickets will help.

  10. Eng 166-5published at 39 overs

    That was a bit dicey.

Sophia Dunkley chipped the ball over the bowler and immediately set off for a single. Alice Capsey is a bit slow to get started and only just gets home. Eek.

People can moan at Emma Lamb failing again, but she’s playing out of position. How she’s not opening when she’s got over 1000 runs this year in the 50-over format at the top of the order, I have no idea.

A single and a quick two.

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is resting her head on her hand in the dugout. How long ago that bright powerplay (55-1 off 10 overs) must feel.

And to make matters worse - here's the economical Alana King for her ninth over.

Annabel Sutherland has now taken seven wickets with slower balls in the competition for just 15 runs conceded.

Emma Lamb came lunging forward and missed the ball. It is perfectly timed from Annabel Sutherland - she is on fire.

Questions will be asked now for England batters.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 37 overs

    Lamb b Sutherland 7 (Eng 160-5)

Emma Lamb tucks her bat under her arm and leaves the field with a forlorn expression on her face.

She came forward to a slower ball from Annabel Sutherland and has her stumps rearranged.

Sutherland has 3-29, Lamb departs for her third single-figure score of the tournament, and out walks the equally out of form Alice Capsey.

  16. Eng 154-4published at 36 overs

Emma Lamb and Sophia Dunkley trade singles to bring up England's 150.

And then Lamb gets a boundary with the sixth delivery of her innings, taking advantage of the rapid outfield to beat the chasing Kim Garth. Dunkley hasn't hit a boundary during her 15 (38).

  17. Eng 148-4published at 35 overs

A huge over for Australia, removing set batter Tammy Beaumont. They're well and truly into England's under-performing middle order.

This will be a big test for Sophia Dunkley and Emma Lamb, who gets off the mark with a single.

Brilliant work from Georgia Voll. She was very tight against the sponge but managed to keep her balance.

    Really good timing.

Frustrating from Tammy Beaumont. It was that back of the hand slower ball.

She saw it was there to hit but she needed a quicker ball for it to go for six.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 34.4 overs

    Beaumont c Voll b Sutherland 78 (Eng 147-4)

    The jubilation is short-lived.

Tammy Beaumont is undone by a slower delivery from Annabel Sutherland, who has varied her pace nicely, and picks out Georgia Voll on the boundary. The fielder does well to keep her composure, releasing the ball before she topples over the rope and then regathering.

    Beaumont departs for 78 (105).
