    My gut instinct was out.

    Now then!

This is huge if the decision stays. Shakib Al Hasan is given out lbw on the field but he reviews immediately.

I think it's an ambitious one. Big turn from Rohit Paudel.

  3. Ban 59-5published at 11 overs

There is a fair bit of turn and bounce for the spinners out there, which will keep Bangladesh interested.

Seamer Sompal Kami got plenty of early movement too. If they can push to 120 or just beyond, I think they'll be in the game.

Bangladesh would have probably taken 57 at the halfway point because they would be thinking that allows them to get up to 130-140, but it is the wickets that they have lost that is damaging.

More cracking fielding from Nepal, this time Kushal Malla with a heroic dive at deep cover to save a certain boundary.

That run out was very frustrating from Bangladesh's point of view. Until then, both Shakib and Mahmudullah were showing how to play in these conditions with sensible running, hitting the gaps and waiting for the bad ball.

Jaker Ali has got to keep that going with Shakib now. Nepal have dominated the first 10 overs.

That sums up how good Nepal have been in the field so far. I don't think I've seen a side more on it in the field in this tournament.

What are they doing? What are they thinking?

There was never a single there, it was straight to the fielder. What a stupid way to lose a wicket.

Mahmudullah run out (Gulshan) 13 (Ban 52-5)

Oh, disaster! Just as the partnership was developing so well.

Shakib Al Hasan hits it straight to extra cover and starts running, but too late realises that Gulshan Jha is on the ball quickly and sends his partner back.

Mahmudullah is completely stitched up, can't get back in time and the bowler does the rest.

  9. Ban 51-4published at 8.4 overs

    Shot!

Mahmudullah helps himself to four more with a cracking straight drive off Lamichhane.

It feels like Bangladesh have cottoned on to how they are going to have to play the rest of this innings out.

  11. Ban 44-4published at 8 overs

Another precious boundary, this time for Shakib Al Hasan who gratefully accepts some width from Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel and threads it past point for four.

Both sets of fans are creating a great atmosphere there in St Vincent, and credit to them.

  12. Ban 38-4published at 7 overs

A welcome boundary for Mahmudullah, cleverly waiting on the back foot against leg-spinner Lamichhane and cutting the ball late down to deep third for four.

There were amazing scenes after that wicket of Hridoy as a Nepal fan leapt into one of the pools that surround the ground with his flag held above his head!

These two are so experienced and they should know how to stave off this pressure.

They'll need to work out what is a defendable total, especially with the dew expected to play a part later in the evening.

  14. Ban 31-4published at 6 overs

An eventful powerplay to say the least!

Nepal have been great but Bangladesh have instigated their own downfall. There has been some very daft batting.

    Chaos.

Tawhid Hridoy whacked the previous ball for four, but gets too greedy trying to repeat it. He gets a top edge off a slog sweep that flies high and far, but Sandeep Lamichhane takes a smart tumbling catch running backwards from short fine leg.

If Bangladesh aren't careful they could be giving the Netherlands a massive helping hand.

  18. Ban 26-3published at 5 overs

Towhid Hridoy gets off the mark with a clip off his hips for four.

Sompal Kami has bowled beautifully with good pace and bounce and has well-deserved figures of 2-10 so far. The Nepal fans have been such a delight this tournament and their noise levels are unsurprisingly pretty high today!

It has been impressive so far from Nepal.

That excitement and energy is so high at the moment. They are all over every ball. It is slighlty terrifying from a Bangladesh perspective.
