We'll be with you from 10:30 BST, so make sure you join us. Until then, here's Stephan Shemilt's match report from today in case you missed any of the action.

    Bye for now!

  2. 'We let them into the game more than we should'published at 21:53 BST 4 September

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma speaking to Test Match Special: "It got exciting for everyone watching. They just kept coming. With the short boundary we knew it was going to be tricky.

"We held our nerve well and let them into the game more than we should have. A good victory all the same."

On letting England into the game: "Something special was all that was required from one of their batters. They had to keep going. We were quietly confident."

On posting 330: "If I look at it when Dewald Brevis came in, 270 seemed a good score. Him and Matthew Breetzke kept going so when we got to 330, that is more than I would have taken. The wicket got better and pace was not as good off the wicket and they showed that too."

  3. 'Tonight wasn't our night'published at 21:50 BST 4 September

England captain Harry Brook speaking to Test Match Special: "We are disappointed obviously but it was a very good effort to chase that amount of runs. To get within one blow of their score was an awesome effort.

"Baz and I reckoned they were 10 or 15 over par. With our batting line-up we want to chase these big scores. Tonight was not our night but it was a good game to watch.

"It was not about inability. We were unlucky at the top with the new ball to not get a nick. The lads stuck in there in the powerplay it just didn't go our way tonight."

On the last few overs: "Until the last six to eight overs we thought that we could be back into the game with one big over. That is why we set the team up as it is. To get that close was a very good effort."

On Jacob Bethell in at four: "That was to keep left and right-hand combinations going. It was to unsettle their bowlers. He batted beautifully and brought us back into the game. He played awesome alongside Joe Root. It is good signs."

On Sunday's game: "It is continuity. That is what brings the best team. I will talk to Baz and we will come up with a team but it will be similar."

However, there were plenty of positives in that performance from England in terms of how they responded to the thrashing at Headingley.

There are definitely questions around the bowling and particularly the make-up of the side, with Jacob Bethell and Will Jacks making up the fifth bowler and conceding 1-112 from their combined 10 overs.

You felt that South Africa had it under control from the first ball getting Jamie Smith out.

England kept getting partnerships and when Brook and Buttler were there, they were in the game. It just shows how long a 50-over game is.

What an effort from England with the bat. They almost pulled off something unbelievable.

South Africa have been the better team in both games and have got themselves home.

Rashid run out (Breetzke) 2 (Eng 313-9)

Adil Rashid has selflessly sacrificed his wicket to ensure that Jofra Archer retains the strike.

He had to go for it, with how well Archer is striking, but South Africa now only need one wicket.

    It's all to play for!
